Sirens: Punched in the Face, Tires Slashed; Kids Throw Knives at Park; Identity Theft

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• A DeWalt flashlight was reported stolen from a lumber store in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9:10 a.m. on Feb. 15. 

• Razor blades were reported stolen from a lumber store in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue just after 6:05 p.m. on Feb. 15. The suspect reportedly fled in a green Chevrolet pickup. 

• A diesel particulate filter was reported stolen off of a truck in the 3600 block of Galvin Road just before 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 16. 

• At 6:55 a.m. on Feb. 17, a blue Honda Pilot was reported stolen from the 200 block of East Plum Street sometime overnight. 

 

Vehicle Accident

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of West First and F streets just before 1:05 p.m. on Feb. 15. 

 

Assault 

• Just after 7:50 p.m. on Feb. 15, a subject reported “being punched in the face and (having) his vehicle tire slashed” in the 100 block of North Gold Street. The case is under investigation. 

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Criminal Trespass 

• Two subjects were trespassed from a business in the 600 block of West Main Street just before 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 15. 

• Two subjects suspected of shoplifting were trespassed from a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 8:10 p.m. on Feb. 15. 

 

Juvenile Problem 



• A group of six to seven high school-aged juveniles were reportedly “throwing pocket knives and razors all over the park” in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street. No damage was observed. 

 

Theft 

• A juvenile was cited for third-degree theft in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. 

• Tabs were reported stolen off of a vehicle in the 300 block of Northwest North Street at 10:25 a.m. on Feb. 16. 

• A case of possible identity theft was reported just before 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 16  after a subject from the East Coast found a package was shipped in her name to the 500 block of Southwest Riverside Drive.

• A subject was cited for third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 12:20 p.m. on Feb. 16. 

• Just before 2:20 p.m. on Feb. 16, a bike was reported stolen from a porch in the 10 block of Southwest 11th Street sometime that morning. 

• A cellphone was reported stolen from the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street just after 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 16. 

 

Vehicle Accident 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 12:35 p.m. on Feb. 16. 

Disorderly Conduct 

• A case of disorderly conduct was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2:15 p.m. on Feb. 16. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 165 inmates, including 152 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 122 were reported male and 30 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
