Sirens: Money Stolen from Hotel Room; Centralia Woman Arrested on Heroin Charge; Generator, Tools Stolen from Toledo Farm

Honda Stolen

• At 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a white 1994 Honda Accord was reported stolen overnight in the 800 block of Ham Hill Road.  

Money Stolen from Hotel Room

• At 12:47 p.m. on Wednesday, money was reported stolen from a hotel room in the 2000 block of Cooks Hill Road.

Hit and Run

• At 6:12 p.m. on Wednesday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Yew and West Cherry streets. A suspect hit a parked car and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was found abandoned several blocks away. The case is under investigation. 

Suspect Cited for Reckless Driving

• At 11:14 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the intersection of South Gold and Pear streets and cited Kristopher W. Laseke, 20, of Centralia, on suspicion of reckless driving. According to police, Laseke was caught driving 50 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.

Morton Suspect Booked on Meth Charge

• At 11:18 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the intersection of Silver and Main streets and arrested Darren T. S. Brewer, 18, of Morton, on an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Centralia Woman Arrested for Protection Order Violation

• At 1:34 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1100 block of Centralia College Boulevard and arrested Amanda D. Barnhart, 30, of Centralia, on suspicion of violation of a protection order. 

Malicious Mischief

• At 3:58 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a dispute in the 3400 block of Fords Prairie Avenue. Jericho J. Hatch, 44, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief. 

Accused Trespasser Cited

• At 5:28 p.m. on Thursday, police arrested Ryan A. McCarter, 37, of Winlock, on suspicion of first-degree trespassing at a business in the 1200 block of Mellen Street. 

Machine Stolen

• At 6:33 p.m. on Thursday, a theft was reported in the 300 block of West Plum Street. A “texture machine” was reportedly stolen from a job site on May 9. 

Centralia Woman Arrested on Heroin Charge

• At 8:19 p.m. on Thursday,  police responded to the 800 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Crystal L. Harris, 38, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of heroin. She is also being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Indecent Exposure

• At 1:58 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the 100 block of South Tower Avenue and cited Joshua R. Jacobs, 32, of Mossyrock on suspicion of urinating in public. 

Chehalis Police Department

Harassment by Neighbor Reported

• At 1:49 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report of harassment between neighbors in the 400 block of Northeast Washington Avenue. 

Theft

At 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to South Market Boulevard to a report of a theft. The suspect, a 22-year-old Chehalis male, left before police arrived. He is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Olympia Residents Arrested on Theft, Drug Charges

• At 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 1400 block  of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A man reportedly took items from a store without paying, then went back to the store in an apparent effort to take more items. Paul D. Price, 62, of Olympia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly taking $232.95 in merchandise. A woman associated with the first suspect, identified as Jessica D. Haskins, 36, of Olympia, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

Trespasser Reported

• At 8:32 a.m. on Thursday, a trespasser was reported at the intersection of Seventh Street and McFadden Avenue. 

Hit and Run

• At 2:27 p.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Rape Reported

• At 4:19 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of a rape in the 1500 block of Rice Road. The report is under investigation. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Generator, Tools Stolen from Toledo Farm

• At 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, the sheriff’s office received a report of thefts from a farm in the 200 block of Sareault Road in Toledo. The thefts reportedly occurred between November 2017 and May 2018. Items stolen included a Honda generator, a Miller Welder, a micrometer see, a 20-volt cordless impact wrench, a used car battery and a gas can, valued together at approximately $2,400. 

Lewis County Jail

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 226 inmates with 189 in general population and 37 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 149 were male and 40 female and of WERC inmates, 33 were male and four female. A total of 33 inmates were booked through contacts outside Lewis County.
