Assault
• Jose F. Lopez, 58, of Chehalis, was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 200 block of Northeast Washington Avenue just before 3:35 p.m. on Dec. 26.
Vehicle accidents
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 10 block of Northeast Median Street just before 3:35 p.m. on Dec. 26.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 11:20 a.m. on Dec. 28.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:55 p.m. on Dec. 26.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Raina J. LaLonde, 22, of Spokane Valley, was arrested in the 100 block of West Maple Street just after 11:40 a.m. on Dec. 30 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for several outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrants with a total of $48,000 bail.
• Candace N. Aho, 36, of Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of West Oakview Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. on Dec. 21 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrants along with a new charge for knowingly possessing a controlled substance. She is also being referred for a charge of taking a motor vehicle without permission.
• Quincy E.L. Burton, 46, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at approximately 3:50 a.m. on Jan. 1 and booked into the Lewis County Jail on an outstanding Lewis County Superior Court warrant for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
• Anthony P. Johnson, 32, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1200 block of Mellen Street just after 11 a.m. on Jan. 1 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on an outstanding Lewis County Superior Court warrant for second-degree assault, domestic violence; fourth-degree assault, domestic violence; and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
• Glenn Smith, 44, of Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street at 7:50 p.m. on Jan. 1 and was booked into Lewis County Jail for assorted outstanding Lewis County Superior Court arrest warrants, including residential burglary, domestic violence.
Vehicle accidents
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Johnson Road and Caveness Drive just after 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 31. The at-fault driver was issued an infraction.
• A non-injury, single-vehicle collision was reported in the 2200 Cooks Hills Road at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 31.
• A single-vehicle accident with injuries that was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Jan. 1 is under investigation.
Theft
• Roy L. Leon, 39, of Graham, was arrested in the 100 block of West High Street just after 1:25 p.m. on Jan. 1 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on an outstanding King County warrant for theft of rental/leased property. Roy was contacted while allegedly attempting to steal from a store. He was cited for third-degree theft and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Drug violations
• Eric Ballweber, 41, of Bellingham, was cited for loitering for drug-related activity at the intersection of West Main and South Yew streets at 8:35 p.m. on Jan. 1.
• Thaddeus Byrnes, 37, of Centralia, was cited for unlawful possession of a controlled substance/use of drug paraphernalia in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue at 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 1.
Assault
• McDonald Brown, 23, of Cheney, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for fourth-degree assault and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, following an incident in the 1000 block of Woodland Avenue at 12:05 a.m. on Jan. 2.
Criminal trespass
• Christian Pantoja-Martinez, 24, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 200 block of South Diamond Street at 10:25 p.m. on Dec. 31 after going onto property he was court-ordered to stay away from.
• Hugo Walther, 57, of Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree criminal trespass.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Jan. 2, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 163 inmates, including 150 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 125 were reported male and 25 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Jan. 2, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of eight inmates. Of those, three were from Centralia and one was from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one inmate from the Lummi Nation, one from the Quileute Nation, one from the Tulalip Tribe and one from the Suquamish.
