Sirens: Man tased after resisting DUI arrest; suspect break's homes windows with bat; copper wire stolen from home

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Deven C. Durrant, 32, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree assault, DUI, possession of a controlled substance, malicious mischief and obstructing a law enforcement officer in the 1100 block of Belmont Avenue at about 2:01 p.m. April 20. According to police, Durrant reportedly struck several objects with his vehicle, prompting multiple individuals to call 911. Once officers contacted Durrant, Durrant allegedly showed signs of drug use, refused to exit his vehicle and attempted to drive away. While officers were removing Durrant from his vehicle, Durrant allegedly struck and kicked officers, at which point police reportedly used a Taser. Durrant was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Police reportedly obtained a blood warrant at the hospital to determine the concentration of narcotics in his system.

• Teresa T.I. Moe, 20, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for violation of a no-contact order after she allegedly assaulted the petitioner in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue at about 3:33 a.m. April 21.

• Michael Rajic, 71, Centralia, was arrested for alleged first-degree burglary, second-degree assault (domestic violence), third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence) and resisting arrest in the 500 block of Girard Street at about 12:04 p.m. April 21. According to police, Rajic allegedly used a baseball bat to break the windows of a residence in an attempt to make entry. Rajic allegedly assaulted a family member with the bat, breaking their smart watch. K9 Hector deployed to help arrest Rajic after he allegedly ignored multiple commands issued by officers.

• Adrienne Chester, 33, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for harassment with threats to kill after allegedly threatening to stab a restaurant customer with a knife in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue at about 6 p.m. April 21. Charges were later declined, according to court documents.

• Rachel Baldwin, 44, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after allegedly striking a household/family member in the 500 block of North Gold Street at about 11 p.m. April 21.

• Camron King, 29, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) after allegedly slapping a household/family member in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue at about 12:18 p.m. April 22.

Accidents

• A two-vehicle collision with no injuries was reported in the 4000 block of Galvin Road at about 11:15 a.m. April 20.

Assault

• A juvenile on probation was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center after he allegedly assaulted a family member in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 9 a.m. April 20.

• An assault was reported in the 1000 block of South Gold Street at about 5:13 a.m. April 21. According to police, the parties separated and one left the area prior to the officers’ arrival.

Burglary

• A subject reportedly broke into a house under construction in the 1300 block of Salzer Creek Loop during the night and stole copper pipe and wiring. The burglary was reported at about 8:50 a.m. April 21. The case is under investigation.

Criminal trespass

• Jacob W. Daily, 48, Winlock, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged first-degree criminal trespass in the 100 block of South Silver Street at about noon April 20. Police said Daily had previously been notified he was trespassing at that location.

• Junsada Crawley, 41, Lacey, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged first-degree criminal trespass in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:07 p.m. April 20. Police said Crawley entered and remained unlawfully in a business from which she had previously been trespassed.

• Joshua E. Blankenship, 37, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:15 a.m. April 21. According to police, Blankenship had returned to a previously-trespassed property. At the time of arrest, officers allegedly found narcotic materials on his person.

DUI

• Joseph T. Etelamaki, 63, Centralia, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in the 1200 block of South Gold Street at about 11:36 a.m. April 20. According to police, Etelamaki was released from the jail to the hospital after it became apparent he needed medical attention.



Escape from community custody

• Justin Bricker, 37, Shelton, was arrested in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:40 p.m. April 20 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an alleged outstanding Department of Corrections (DOC) arrest warrant for escape from community custody. Bricker was also arrested for allegedly failing to check in with DOC dating back to April 2025 when he was released from prison. Police referred Bricker for alleged possession of a controlled substance and use/delivery of drug paraphernalia.

Malicious mischief

• A vehicle was reported damaged in the 500 block of West Fourth Street at about 11:15 a.m. April 20. The damage reportedly occurred during the night. No further information was available at the time.

Violation of protection order

• Stephanie Vargas Vasquez, 28, California, was referred to Centralia Municipal Court for violation of a protection order in the 2800 block of Russell Road at about 8:54 p.m. April 20, after she allegedly sent digital communications to the protected person.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Delano V. Harrison Jr., 42, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged felony harassment and unlawful interference with health care facilities in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at about 9:53 p.m. April 17, according to Chehalis police. On April 20, Harrison made a preliminary appearance in Lewis County Superior Court to face two counts of harassment and one count of interference with a health care facility, all gross misdemeanors. A court commissioner set bail at $25,000 cash or bond.

Reckless driving

• Kristen L. Sanchez was given a criminal citation for alleged reckless driving near the corner of Interstate Avenue and Bishop Road at about 7:38 a.m. April 17.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of April 22, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 147 inmates, including 134 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 110 were reported male and 24 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of April 22, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 13 inmates. Of those, seven were from Centralia, one was from Elma and one was from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe, the Skokomish Tribe and the Chehalis Tribe.
