CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Reggie D. Pointer, 45, Centralia, was arrested after an alleged physical altercation with two family/household members in the 900 block of South Pearl Street at about 4:59 p.m. Sept. 25. According to police, Pointer allegedly assaulted both individuals and threatened to kill one of them.
• Troy N. Houghtaling Sr., 66, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an alleged violation of a domestic violence no-contact order in the 2100 block of North Pearl Street at about 12:40 p.m. Sept. 26. Officers reportedly used the Flock camera system to locate and arrest Houghtaling.
• Clinton G. Duncan, 51, Centralia, was arrested near the corner of North Tower Avenue and East Main Street at about 1:47 a.m. Sept. 27 after allegedly pointing a machete and PepperBall gun at a group of people and threatening to kill them.
• Kolby C. Wilson, 27, Centralia, was arrested in the 1300 block of Logan Street at about 7:34 p.m. Sept. 27 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and weapons apparently capable of producing bodily harm. According to police, Wilson allegedly injured a household/family member and brandished a knife during a domestic dispute. Wilson then kicked the arresting officer, police said.
Accidents
• A two-vehicle collision was reported near Harrison Avenue and Interstate 5 at about 11:16 a.m. Sept. 26.
• A two-vehicle collision was reported near Harrison Avenue and Interstate 5 at about 11:28 a.m. Sept. 26.
• A two-vehicle collision was reported near Harrison Avenue and Interstate 5 at about 11:40 a.m. Sept. 26.
• A two-vehicle collision was reported near the corner of West Cherry Street and South Silver Street at about 1:54 p.m. Sept. 26.
Counterfeiting
• An unknown male suspect reportedly attempted to pay for goods or services with fake money in the 400 block of North Tower Avenue at about 12:31 p.m. Sept. 26.
Criminal trespass
• Richard A. Murphy, 48, Neilton, was arrested in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 12:57 a.m. Sept. 26 after allegedly going into a business from which he had previously been trespassed.

DUI
• Dennis A. Piper, 62, Chehalis, was arrested near the corner of Galvin Road and Eshom Road at about 8:08 a.m. Sept. 26 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence. Piper was also arrested for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
• Raul R. Flores, 61, Centralia, was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol near the corner of West Hanson Street and North Tower Avenue at about 7:20 p.m. Sept. 26.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 700 block of South Gold Street at about 2:12 p.m. Sept. 27.
Malicious mischief
• Brian M. Volk, 48, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence) after he allegedly damaged a table belonging to a household/family member during a domestic dispute.
Theft
• A firearm was reported stolen in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at about 10:39 a.m. Sept. 25. No suspect information was available at the time.
• A firearm was reported lost or stolen in the 1100 block of West Walnut Street at about 3:17 p.m. Sept. 25. No suspect information was available at the time.
Traffic enforcement
• Two officers participated in a “targeted traffic enforcement emphasis” throughout the city on Sept. 27, according to the Centralia Police Department. The enforcement reportedly resulted in 32 vehicle stops for observed speeding violations. According to the department, officers issued warnings and traffic citations as appropriate based on the circumstances of each stop.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Sept. 28, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 159 inmates, including 146 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 126 were reported male and 20 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Sept. 28, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 14 inmates. Of those, four were from Centralia and five were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were four from the Lummi Nation and one from the Chehalis Tribal Court.
