Malicious mischief
• Just before 10:15 a.m. on March 14, there was a report that the window of a residence in the 400 block of Jackson Street had been removed and its window framing was damaged.
Theft
• A 41-year-old Chehalis woman was cited for shoplifting in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just after 12:50 p.m. on March 14.
• A dozen donuts were reported stolen from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at 2:40 p.m. on March 14.
• At approximately 4:25 p.m. on March 14, two gas cans were reported stolen from the 3000 block of Galvin Road sometime overnight.
• A wallet was reported stolen from the 1500 block of South Gold Street just before 3:30 p.m. on March 16. Debit/credit cards in the wallet were unlawfully used. The case is under investigation.
• A laptop was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 9:20 p.m. on March 16.
Criminal trespass
• A 36-year-old Centralia man was arrested for trespassing in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:15 a.m. on March 15.
• A 56-year-old Chehalis man was arrested for trespassing at a business in the 1500 block of South Gold Street at approximately 8:50 p.m. on March 15 and refusing to leave.
• A 40-year-old Westport man was arrested for trespassing just before 7:50 a.m. on March 16 after he drove his vehicle through locked gates in the 800 block of Johnson Road into a closed park and got the vehicle stuck in the mud.
• A homeless person was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at 1:10 p.m. on March 16 after they were found “napping in the store.”
Assault
• Jarrod Ray Vincent Phillipi, 34, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, domestic violence, just after 12:45 p.m. on March 14 after “probable cause was established to believe he caused significant injuries to a female” in the 900 block of East Locust Street just before 9:45 a.m. on March 7.
• A 47-year-old Winlock man was arrested for fourth-degree assault just before 5:05 p.m. on March 16 after he allegedly threatened and assaulted an employee at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue after being told to leave.
Drug violations
• A 38-year-old Centralia man was cited for unlawful possession of a controlled substance in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue just after 11:15 a.m. on March 15.
• An 18-year-old Silver Creek man was arrested in the 1500 block of South Gold Street just before 11:30 p.m. on March 15 for being a minor intoxicated in a public place.
• A 20-year-old Oregon resident was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of suspected meth at the intersection of East Summa and South Gold streets just after 11:10 a.m. on March 16.
• A 37-year-old Olympia woman was arrested in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. on March 16 for driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Vehicle accidents
• A vehicle vs. bicycle collision was reported at the intersection of Ellsbury and Mellen streets at 4 p.m. on March 16. Injuries were reported. The at-fault driver was issued a citation.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of South Gold and Hickory streets just after 7:35 p.m. on March 16. One of the drivers, Ramiro L. Perez, 60, of Centralia, was arrested for second-degree assault, domestic violence, after he allegedly assaulted the other driver.
DUI
• A 31-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for DUI after she was involved in a collision in the 2300 block of North Pearl Street at approximately 2:15 a.m. on March 17.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 11:20 a.m. on March 14.
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 6:30 p.m. on March 14.
• A vehicle reportedly struck and killed a dog in the 900 block of South Market Boulevard just after 5:30 p.m. on March 15 and fled the scene.
Vehicle accidents
• At approximately 5:35 p.m. on March 15, a non-injury, two-vehicle collision that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. that day was reported.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:15 p.m. on March 15.
Criminal trespass
• A man reportedly trespassed on private property in the 300 block of Southwest James Street and exposed himself while urinating at 1:35 p.m. on March 14.
• Just after 8:40 a.m. on March 15, a business in the 1700 block of North National Avenue reported a vehicle had been in its parking lot for several days and asked that the occupant be moved along.
• A subject was reportedly sitting on the front porch of a building in the 200 block of Northwest State Avenue at 12:20 p.m. on March 15.
• A homeless man was moved along from the 1300 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue at 11 a.m. on March 16.
Disputes
• A verbal dispute was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Prindle Street just after 5:50 p.m. on March 14.
• A possible verbal dispute was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just before 12:40 a.m. on March 16. The involved parties advised there wasn’t a dispute, saying the “cat peed on the bed so they yelled at it.”
• A verbal domestic dispute was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Boistfort Street at 12:05 p.m. on March 16.
Suspicious circumstances
• At approximately 9:05 a.m. on March 15, a parent reported someone attempted to abduct his 12-year-old daughter while she was walking to the store in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard. The parent reported the suspect repeatedly offered the juvenile a ride, gave her “a hat and threw a dollar at (her)” and then drove away.
Burglary
• A burglary of a building in the 2000 block of Southwest Salsbury Avenue was reported just after 5:45 p.m. on March 15.
Sewage leak
• A possible sewage leak was reported at the intersection of Northeast High Street and Northeast Greenwood Terrace at 1:05 p.m. on March 16.
Shooting complaint
• A citizen reported hearing five to six shots fired in the 1300 block of Southeast Washington avenue just after 7:10 p.m. on March 16.
Disorderly conduct
• A disorderly man was reportedly banging on a door and screaming in the 400 block of Northeast Washington Avenue at approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 17.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 53 illness-related calls, 18 injury-related calls, six fire-related calls, seven non-emergency service calls, six vehicle accidents, four Lifeline medical alerts, one public assist request, one 911-hangup call, one report of frostbite, one report of a dead body and two other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 134 inmates, including 124 in the general population and 10 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 98 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, eight were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 18 inmates, including eight booked by the Centralia Police Department, two booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, two booked by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, one booked by the Lummi Nation, one booked by the Skokomish Tribe and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
