Sirens: Man arrested for assault of child on Christmas Eve; vehicle strikes building; several arrested for drugs; intoxicated juvenile makes threats

Drug arrests

• Nathan S. Page, 35, and Colin B. Scott, 35, both from Tumwater, were arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 1:53 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 100 block of High Street. Officers located Page and Scott passed out in a vehicle with drug paraphernalia on their laps. After applying for a search warrant and searching the vehicle, suspected methamphetamine was located.

• Eric G. Griffin II, 42, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on a Chehalis Municipal Court warrant at about 5:37 a.m. Dec. 25 in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. He was also issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled substance after suspected methamphetamine was found on his person during a search.

• Nicholas B. Decker, 37, of Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for loitering for drug-related activity after he was allegedly observed under the influence of fentanyl in a public location with drug paraphernalia strewn around him on the ground at about 9:20 a.m. Dec. 25 in the 100 block of West High Street.

Juvenile makes threats

• A juvenile was arrested for allegedly being intoxicated and running down the roadway, threatening to kill people, at about 1:44 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 1200 block of J Street.

Trespassing

• Brian M. Raappana, 34, of Centralia, was arrested after allegedly going onto property he was court ordered to stay away from at about 3:23 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 800 block of West Sixth Street.

• Teresa L. Leys, 56, of Centralia, was arrested and booked in Lewis County Jail for second-degree criminal trespassing and for an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant after being reported for being on the premises of a business she had been previously trespassed from at about 7 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue.

• Two transients were trespassed from a local business after being found camping on their premises in the 400 block of North Tower Avenue at about 1:22 a.m. Dec. 25.

Theft

• Ruben Francisco-Rodas, 43, of Chehalis, was arrested after allegedly concealing alcohol in his coat at a local grocery store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street and then drinking it in the bathroom at about 7 p.m. Dec. 23.

• Lisa G. Jacobs, 43, of Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for committing theft from a store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 4 p.m. Dec. 24. She was trespassed from the business.

• A license plate was reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Tilley Avenue, according to a report at 11:37 a.m. Dec. 24.



Vehicle strikes building

• A vehicle vs. building crash was reported at about 8:45 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 1800 block of Cooks Hill Road. No injuries were reported.

Assault of a child

• Jonathan T. Murphy, 21, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree assault of a child at about 9:45 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue. An additional charge of making a false statement to a public servant was also expected to be filed.

Crash

• A two-vehicle collision with no reported injuries was reported at about 2:06 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 2000 block of Cooks Hill Road.

Assault

• An assault involving juveniles was reported at about 4 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue. The case is being referred to the prosecutor’s office for charging.

Nuisance arrest

• Vanessa F. Wilson, 48, of Centralia, was arrested and booked in Lewis County Jail for camping on city property (second offense) and having liquor in public after being found sleeping on the sidewalk in front of a residence with multiple open alcohol containers in her possession and in plain view at about 10:52 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 500 block of West Cherry Street.

Family dispute

•  Officers responded to a family dispute at about 11:34 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 1400 block of Lewis Street. No arrests were made, and parties agreed to voluntarily separate for the night, according to police.
