Water Reported Stolen

• At 8:04 a.m. on Monday, water bottles were reported stolen in the 700 block of National Avenue.

 Possible Drug Deal Reported

• At 12:55 p.m. on Monday, police received a report about possible drug deal in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Shoplifting

• Jessica S. Anderson, 34, of Centralia, was arrested at

3:05 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on suspicion of retail theft with special circumstances.

Tenino Teen Cited for Theft

• At 3:54 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of North National Avenue, a 16-year-old Tenino boy was cited and referred to the Lewis County Juvenile Court on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 Possible Vehicle Theft Reported

• At 5:14 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a man trying to get into a locked car using a coat hanger in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Mailbox Blown Up in Chehalis

• At 8:06 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a mailbox being blown up in the 1000 block of Southwest Johnson Avenue in Chehalis. 

Child Pornography Reported

• At 12:49 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of child pornography in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard. 

Man Arrested for Pills

• Lloyd L. Wright, 49, of Chehalis was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Louisiana Avenue. 

 Dog Attack Reported

• At 1:29 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a dog charging and attacking a woman and her dog in the 900 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. The woman had minor injuries.

Child Seen Driving Pickup

• At 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a child driving a white Ford truck near the intersection of Main Street and Market Boulevard.

Centralia Police Department

Vehicle Prowls 

• At 8:58 a.m. on Tuesday, property was reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Lewis Street.

• At 6:19 p.m. on Tuesday, a laptop and portfolio were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Seminary Hill Road in Centralia.

 Burglar Gone Fishing?

• At 9:04 a.m. on Tuesday, a burglary was reported at an unlocked shed in the 600 block of J Street. Fishing equipment was reportedly stolen.

Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Burglary

• Sarah Culp, 33, a transient, was arrested at 9:46 a.m. on Tuesday in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street on suspicion of attempted burglary. The Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office declined to file charges.

 Juvenile Arrested for Alleged Assault

• At 12:19 p.m. on Tuesday, a juvenile was arrested in the 1100 block of South Tower Avenue on suspicion of second-degree assault, domestic violence, and third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence.

Transient Arrested for Alleged Assault

• Matthew Redding, 19, a transient, was arrested at

5:51 p.m. on Tuesday in the 300 block of West Pine Street on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 Burglary Reported

• At 8:19 a.m. on Wednesday, power equipment was reported stolen in the 400 block of Harrison Avenue.

 Bicycle Stolen

• At 8:42 p.m. on Wednesday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 300 block of Kearney Street in Centralia.

Third-Degree Assault Arrest

• Shannon L. Wachter, 19, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.

Morton

Man Arrested for Allegedly Shoplifting from Morton Country Market

• David W. Willis, 37, of Morton, was arrested at

9:51 a.m. on June 30 on suspicion of shoplifting from the Morton Country Market. Willis also had outstanding warrants. 

Officer Responds to Gun Concern, Finds Hunter

• At 10:03 p.m. on June 30, officers responded to a report of a person in the area of Second Street in Morton with rifles. The officer found that the person had recently been hunting and was waiting for a ride.

 Juveniles Reported Throwing Fire Crackers at Ambulance

• At 10:28 p.m. on Saturday, personnel from Lewis County Fire District 4 reported seeing juveniles throwing firecrackers as it was traveling down Main Avenue in Morton. Officers did not find the juveniles.

Moon Mistaken for Fire

• At 11:18 on Saturday, a person reported a fire seen through the trees. The caller then realized it was just the moon.

 Juveniles Contacted for Throwing Rocks

• At 6:02 p.m. on Sunday, officers contacted juveniles at the Tilton Bridge in Morton after they were seen throwing rocks in and around a swimming hole.

Officers Respond to Altercation

• At 10:34 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a physical altercation in the 100 block of Hope Street. The case is under investigation.  

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Domestic Violence Assault Reported

• At 9:53 a.m. on Tuesday, an assault was reported in the 4500 block of Jackson Highway in Winlock. Dillon S. Morse, 25, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Assault Reported at Jail

• At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, an assault was reported at the Lewis County Jail. No arrests were made. 

12-Foot Boat Stolen in Burglary

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that occurred between July 2 and Tuesday in the 100 block of Hadaller Road in Mossyrock. Someone allegedly broke into a 40-foot shipping container and took a 12-foot aluminum boat, a Honda boat motor, an electric trolling motor, an all-terrain vehicle, a boat battery, camping gear and miscellaneous tools. The missing items have a value of approximately $10,000. Anyone with information about the burglary is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at (360) 748-9286. 

Two Arrested in Centralia Burglary

• Kayla M. Burleson, 22, and Miguel V. Martinez, 19, both transients of Centralia, were arrested at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of residential burglary. The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office received a report Tuesday of a burglary at a residence in the 1600 block of Delaware Avenue. The residents told deputies that jeans, a purse, a Playstation 3, game controllers, games and other miscellaneous electronics were stolen. According to the sheriff’s office, the residents’ neighbors saw the burglary, and identified the suspects. The residents later learned that the suspects were trying to sell a Playstation 3, which they thought was odd given that the suspects were transients, and called the sheriff’s office.

Brush Fires

• At 3:26 p.m. on Wednesday, a brush fire was reported in the 900 block of Middle Fork Road in Onalaska.

• At 9:51 p.m. on Wednesday, a brush fire was reported in the 1100 block of state Route 7 in Morton.
