Sirens: Juveniles busted for pot; arrest made after K9 Havik alerts to narcotics; local jail statistics

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• James C. Tryon, 51, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for an alleged no-contact order violation in the 1400 block of Johnson Road at about 5:41 p.m. April 24.

• Charles L. Keele, 53, Longview, and Mackenzie M. Fish, 22, Onalaska, were arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in the 400 block of East Summa Street at about 8 p.m. April 26. During the traffic stop, K9 Havik reportedly alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers executed a search warrant and allegedly found suspected methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials, ledgers and money inside.

Accidents

• Officers assisted with a collision on southbound Interstate 5 near milepost 77 at about 4:10 p.m. April 24.

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 900 block of E Street at about 10:50 a.m. April 25.

• A two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue at about 1:28 p.m. April 26.

• A two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue at about 4:11 p.m. April 26.

Assault

• A juvenile was arrested after an alleged physical altercation with their parent in the 1000 block of North Washington Avenue at about 10:16 a.m. April 26.

DUI

• Marcelina M. Marquez, 42, California, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol near the corner of Harrison Avenue and East High Street at about 9:26 p.m. April 25.

Fraud

• Officers investigated a report of falsified documents in the 1600 block of South Gold Street at about 10:31 a.m. April 24.

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run collision was investigated in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at about 1:40 p.m. April 24.

• A hit-and-run collision was reported in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at about 2:11 p.m. April 26.

Malicious mischief

• An apartment door was damaged in the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road at about 6:20 p.m. April 26. There was no suspect information at the time.



Marijuana violation

• Two juveniles were reported to be in possession of suspected marijuana in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 8:43 a.m. April 24 and were referred to the prosecutor for charging.

Possession of methamphetamine

• Sabrina J. Casebolt, 55, Bucoda, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged unlawful possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia in the 1400 block of Lum Road at about 6 p.m. April 25.

Theft

• Theft of clothes from a local store was reported in the 100 block of West High Street at about 7:16 p.m. April 24. The case is under investigation.

• A theft at a department store was reported in the 100 block of West High Street at about 11:33 a.m. April 26. The unnumbered suspects left prior to police arrival, though their identity is reportedly being investigated.

Vehicle prowl

• Officers responded to a vehicle prowl near the corner of Kayu Lane and Jalyn Street at about 4:47 p.m. April 26.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Chehalis Police Department has not yet released its most recent call reports. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of April 27, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 149 inmates, including 136 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 109 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of April 27, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 17 inmates. Of those, eight were from Centralia and four were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe, the Skokomish Tribe, the Chehalis Tribal Court and Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement.
