Sirens: Juvenile threatens to bring gun to school; Woman spits on store products; Infant evaluated after crash

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Drug violation

• A case involving a minor in possession of liquor that was reported in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street just after 8:05 a.m. on Feb. 28 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A debit card was reported stolen from the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 9:40 a.m. on Feb. 28.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 3 p.m. on Feb. 28 is under investigation.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place just after 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 28. One of the vehicle’s windows was broken.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1200 block of South Market Boulevard at 11:20 a.m. on Feb. 29 is under investigation.

• Just before 10:50 p.m. on Feb. 29, a woman in the 200 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reported that her boyfriend “took her wallet and all her stuff.”

 

Disorderly conduct

• A disorderly male subject was reportedly “cussing and yelling” in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 9:55 a.m. on Feb. 28.

• A male subject reportedly “threw coffee on the door” and was “yelling (and) cussing” in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 8:55 a.m. on Feb. 29.

• A woman was reportedly “spitting on products” inside a store in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:45 a.m. on March 1.

 

Identity theft

• A subject reportedly tried to use a false ID in the 1400 block of South Market Boulevard just after 2:20 p.m. on Feb. 28.

 

Vehicle accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Southwest 11th Street and Southwest McFadden Avenue at 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 28. An infant who was in one of the vehicles was evaluated by medical personnel.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard just after 1:40 p.m. on Feb. 28.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southwest 13th Street at 3:50 p.m. on Feb. 29.

 

Sexual misconduct

• A case of child molestation reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 28 is under investigation.

 

Juvenile problems

• Just after 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 28, a caller in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way  reported a juvenile was “talking loudly on the bus about his dad having guns” the day prior. The juvenile reportedly “said he was ‘going to bring a 12-gauge shotgun to school tomorrow’ and ‘bring a gun on the bus to shoot everybody,’” according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Just before 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 28, a 13-year-old girl in the 100 block of Southwest William Avenue reported “her mom is trying to burn her clothes in a bonfire” and “wants (the girl) out of her house.”



 

Criminal trespass

• At 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 28, a caller at a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reported a male subject “was verbally abusive with (an) employee and took a fountain drink.” The subject was trespassed from the business.

• A subject was cited for trespassing at a residence in the 200 block of Southwest 11th Street just after 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 29.

 

Other disturbance/dispute

• Just after 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 29, a customer at a business in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way reported they were “concerned for a special-needs employee” who seemed “scared of his manager,” who was “yelling at the employees.”

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Harassment

• Possible harassment was reported inside a shelter in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue just after 11:55 a.m. on Feb. 28. Officers investigated and found no evidence of a crime.

 

Vehicle accident

• A minor, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of South Gold Street and East Summa Street. Injuries were possibly reported.

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison and Belmont avenues just after 11:10 a.m. on Feb. 29.

 

Criminal trespass

• Homeless people from Chehalis and Toledo were trespassed from a church in the 300 block of North Gold Street at 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 28 after they reportedly refused to leave.

 

Disorderly conduct

• Officers were asked to contact a disorderly male subject at a convenience store in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just after 7:35 a.m. on Feb. 29. He left the scene before officers arrived.

 

Theft

• “Miscellaneous paperwork” was reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 600 block of H Street just after 3 p.m. on Feb. 29.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 168 inmates, including 155 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 129 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
