Sirens: Indecent exposure leads to arrest; juvenile accused of vehicle prowls; motorcyclist ditches motorcycle after crash

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests                                               

• Julian B. McIntosh, 31, and Candice N. Aho, 35, both of Centralia, were arrested and issued criminal citations for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 7:43 a.m. Aug. 3. McIntosh and Aho were contacted by law enforcement while in a vehicle in the 100 block of South Pleasant Avenue where drug paraphernalia was plainly observed, according to the police report. A search warrant for the vehicle was granted, and additional narcotic materials were seized as evidence.

• Earl L. Rahn, 21, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and reckless endangerment after allegedly causing physical injury to a domestic partner during a dispute in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road. The assaulted party was holding a child during the dispute at about 3:42 p.m. Aug. 3, which is the basis for the reckless endangerment charge.

• Erin R. Case, 36, of Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail at about 1:58 a.m. Aug 3 for second-degree criminal trespass.

• Dori L. Hofmann, 21, of Everett, was contacted by law enforcement as she was sleeping in her vehicle parked at the corner of Lowe Street and Harrison Avenue. Hofmann was found to have multiple arrest warrants issued out of other municipalities that could not be confirmed. During her contact with law enforcement at about 11:13 a.m. Aug. 2, Hofmann was found to be in possession of “brass knuckles” and received a criminal citation.

• Samantha Case, 30, of Centralia, was arrested and released for third-degree theft after allegedly shoplifting from a local business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue. Case was booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 9:23 p.m. Aug. 2 for an outstanding Department of Corrections arrest warrant for escaping community custody. Case was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

• Patricia Neer, 35, of Portland, was arrested and released for third-degree theft after allegedly shoplifting from a business in the 1000 block of South Yew Street. Neer was booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 9:57 p.m. Aug. 2 for an outstanding warrant out of Oregon for credit card fraud.

• Elmer Castillo Mejia, 24, of Olympia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 3:25 a.m. Aug. 3 for driving under influence after allegedly being found to be intoxicated on alcohol while driving a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

• Miguel Paguada Barrientos, 32, of Rochester, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 2:38 a.m. Aug 3 for driving under influence after allegedly being found to be intoxicated on alcohol while driving a motor vehicle in the intersection of West Main Street and South Iron Street.

• Donald A. Daley, 59, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue and booked into the Lewis County Jail for indecent exposure at about 7:57 p.m. Aug. 3. Daley is being referred for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Anika M. Ernest, 24 and Hillary Simmons, 18, both of Tacoma, were arrested and booked into Lewis County Jail at about 10:20 a.m. Aug. 1 for trafficking stolen property in the 1400 block of Lum Road. During a theft investigation, officers learned that both women were shoplifting and selling the merchandise.

• Kenneth L. Burge, 23, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail at about 2:20 p.m. Aug. 1 for third-degree theft after allegedly stealing items from a local grocery store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street.

• Timothy P. Quigley, 60, of Rainier, was arrested at about 4:59 p.m. Aug. 1 after allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol in the 7700 block of Interstate 5 northbound.

 

Vehicle collision

• A vehicle struck a motorcycle at the corner of Reynolds Avenue and Van Wormer Street at about 7:27 p.m. Aug. 2. The rider of the motorcycle walked away from the collision on foot, leaving an unlicensed motorcycle in the middle of the road. No suspect information is available at this time.

 

Juvenile problem                              

• A juvenile, who is suspected of committing vehicle prowls, was reported to have possession of a victim’s credit card in the 1000 block of North Washington Avenue at about 1:01 p.m. Aug. 3. This case is currently under investigation.



 

Theft                              

• A yard sign was stolen at about 7:17 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 200 block of North Buckner Street.

 

Domestic violence                                    

• A domestic violence assault, with no apparent injuries, was reported at about 5:06 a.m. Aug. 2 and is currently under investigation in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue.

 

Malicious mischief

• Intentional damage to a vehicle was reported at about 6:59 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 800 block of South Gold Street. The case is under investigation.

• A local business in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue reported its window broken at about 8:55 a.m. Aug. 1.

• Damage to a sign in the 1400 block of Johnson Road was reported at about 10:18 a.m., Aug. 1.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 176 inmates, including 162 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 138 were reported male and 24 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and two were reported female.
