CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Trinidad Lopez, 32, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 2 a.m. Aug. 20, for residential burglary, domestic violence, second-degree assault, domestic violence, and violation of a no-contact order. Officers contacted Trinidad and obtained additional cause to take him into custody for the aforementioned crimes in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road.
• Barbara Haase, 63, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for a public disturbance noise violation after being found yelling and making loud noises with a metal baseball bat in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue at about 10:54 p.m. Aug. 20.
• Dannielle L. Stickney, 31, was cited and released for a traffic violation and trespassed for one year from a local business in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road after allegedly disturbing patrons at about 8:43 p.m. Aug. 21.
Theft
• A business in the 1300 block of Lum Road reported shoplifting at about 7:51 p.m. Aug. 20.
Trespass
• Two transient subjects were trespassed from the property of a closed business in the 300 block of West Main Street where they had spread out their belongings at about 8:37 a.m. Aug. 21. The business provided prior written authorization for Centralia police to trespass subjects on their behalf, as no one is permitted to be on the property during non-business hours.
• A transient male overdosed in the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of North Gold Street. The male was trespassed from the property at around 2:56 p.m. Aug. 21 at the request of the business.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Zachary S. Cline, 32, of Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 12:23 p.m. Aug. 15 for one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of a controlled substance after being found in a vehicle that he appears to have been living in at the corner of Southeast Evergreen Drive and Southeast Prospect Street.
• James A. Fodge, 29, of Centralia was arrested and released at about 7:33 p.m. Aug. 15 for second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree assault after allegedly knocking the phone out of a resident’s hand and “getting in his face” in the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue, according to the report from the Chehalis Police Department. He was also accused of wandering around the parking lot looking into the windows of vehicles.
• Mary T. Walker, 32, of Chehalis, was arrested at about 1:22 a.m. Aug. 17 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under influence at the corner of South Market Boulevard and Southwest Seventh Street.
• Ian J. Avis, 33, and Joshua R. Mendolia, 30, both of Puyallup, were arrested for allegedly shoplifting from a local business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 11:11 a.m. Aug. 18 before attempting to elude and obstruct the police sent to arrest them.
• Daniel X. Fry, 21, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at about 10:58 a.m. Aug. 18 for fourth-degree assault after allegedly assaulting a staff member of a business in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue.
• Matteo A. Barnes, 23, of Chehalis, was arrested and released for allegedly trespassing on a property he was previously trespassed from in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue at about 11:05 a.m. Aug. 19.
• Legrand L. Denetclaw, 45, of Chehalis, was arrested and released at about 12:44 p.m. Aug. 20 for first-degree criminal trespass after allegedly yelling “I’m going to eat your bones and liver and heart” in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
Vehicle collision
• A two-vehicle collision occurred in the 500 block of West Main Street at about 12:51 p.m. Aug. 15.
• A vehicle accident that resulted in one car rolling over happened in the 600 block of North National Avenue at about 2:52 p.m. Aug. 16.
• A two-vehicle collision occurred in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at about 12:56 p.m. Aug. 20.
Counterfeiting
• A customer tried to pay a business with a counterfeit $100 bill in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 8:47 p.m, Aug. 20.
Theft
• A 1990s gray Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen in the 1700 block of Louisiana Avenue at about 3:30 p.m., Aug. 19.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 162 inmates, including 150 in the general population and 12 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 130 were reported male and 20 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 10 were reported male and two were reported female.
