CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 700 block of North National Avenue just before 11:20 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southwest 20th Street just before 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 8.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at 4:05 p.m. on Nov. 8.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1200 block of South Market Boulevard at 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Assault

• A case of fourth-degree assault was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 4:10 p.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Dispute

• A possible physical dispute was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 9:10 p.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Theft



• A possible theft of a soda dispenser was reported in the 2100 block of North National Avenue at approximately 11:50 a.m. on Nov. 8.

• An attempted theft reported in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 8 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Accidents

• A vehicle hit a deer in the 1300 block of Mellen Street just after 11:05 p.m. on Nov. 7. No injuries were reported.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Centralia College Boulevard and South King Street just before 12:55 p.m. on Nov. 8.

 

Theft

• A Centralia woman reportedly stole food items from a grocery store in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just before 7:55 p.m. on Nov. 6 and fled. Officers spotted her and stopped her vehicle in downtown Centralia just before 11:50 p.m. She was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for the theft and multiple outstanding warrants.

• A package was reported stolen from a front porch in the 300 block of West Cherry Street at 7:55 p.m. on Nov. 8.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 168 inmates, including 153 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 123 were reported male and 30 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 13 were reported male and two were reported female.
