CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Disputes

• A physical dispute between a man and a woman was reported in the 1500 block of Rice Road just before 2:20 p.m. on July 8. No arrests were made.

• A physical dispute between a man and a woman was reported in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court just after 5 p.m. on July 9.

• A possible physical dispute was reported in the 400 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue just before 6:40 p.m. on July 9.

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Division Street just before 12:10 a.m. on July 10.

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 800 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue at approximately 1:20 a.m. on July 10.

 

Sexual Misconduct

• A case of sexual misconduct by a minor was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way just after 3:10 p.m. on July 8.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• Injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident in the 1500 block of North National Way at approximately 3:50 p.m. on July 8.

• A vehicle reportedly hit a deer in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 1:40 p.m. on July 9. No injuries were reported.

• A vehicle reportedly “took out” a sign at the intersection of Northeast Washington Avenue and Northeast Division Street just after 3:35 p.m. on July 10. No injuries were reported. The crash partially blocked Northeast Washington Avenue.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue just after 9:05 p.m. on July 10. The collision blocked two lanes of traffic.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• Just after 6:40 a.m. on July 9, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 500 block of Northwest Rhode Island Place sometime overnight was reported.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 500 block of Northwest Rhode Island Place just after 4:50 p.m. on  July 9.

• Just before 9:50 a.m. on July 10, a vehicle prowl that occurred in the 100 block of Southwest 11th Street sometime overnight was reported.

• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 10 block of Southwest William Avenue just after 4:55 a.m. on July 11.

 

Retail Theft

• A woman reportedly stole a 12-pack of beer from a business in the 600 block of West Main Street just after 1:25 a.m. on July 9.

• A case of attempted shoplifting was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just before 8:55 p.m. on July 9.

 

Other Theft

• A case of third-degree theft reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 4:05 p.m. on July 8 is under investigation.

• A second-degree theft was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 2:10 p.m. on July 10.

 

Vicious Dog

• A case involving a vicious dog that was reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 4:40 p.m. on July 10 is under investigation.

 

Held at Gunpoint 

• Just after 7:50 p.m. on July 10, a caller in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue reported that “he had a gun pulled on him.” No arrests were made.

 



CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Possession of Stolen Vehicle

• A California woman was arrested in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue just after 8:20 a.m. on July 8 for possession of a stolen vehicle.

 

Trespassing

• A Centralia woman was arrested in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue at 8:55 a.m. on July 8 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree trespassing after she allegedly refused to leave a motel property. She was additionally booked on an outstanding warrant out of Lewis County District Court.

 

Malicious Mischief

• An Olympia man was cited for damaging property at a business in the 100 block of West High Street at 6:30 p.m. on July 8.

 

Retail Theft

• Grocery items were reported stolen from a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 4:55 p.m. on July 9.

• Clothing was reported stolen from a store in the 1200 block of Lum Road at 1:25 p.m. on July 10.

• Earrings were reported stolen from a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road at 5:35 p.m. on July 10.

 

Forgery

• Just before 12:10 p.m. on July 10, there was a report of someone “attempting to use counterfeit money to buy food” in the 700 block of South Gold Street.

 

DUI

• Abel M. Isguerra Jr., 29, of Centralia, was arrested in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 2:10 a.m. on July 10 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence, second-degree driving with a suspended license and an ignition interlock violation.

 

Other Theft

• Money was reported stolen from the 900 block of Johnson Road just after 12:05 p.m. on July 9.

• A man wearing “a baseball cap, black T-shirt and shorts, who also had a dog with him” reportedly stole a wallet out of a vehicle in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just after 11:35 p.m. on July 9 and fled the scene.

 

Drug Violation

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 100 block of West High Street just after 2:35 p.m. on July 9 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on outstanding felony warrants. When officers executed a search warrant on his vehicle, they reportedly found the man was in possession of narcotics with the intent to deliver them.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue just after 6 p.m. on July 9 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for hit-and-run after he allegedly rear-ended a vehicle and fled the scene.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 149 inmates, including 129 in the general population and 20 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 106 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 17 were reported male and three were reported female.
