CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Margarita R. Evans, 56, Centralia, was arrested in the 500 block of Girard Street at about 1:41 p.m. March 9 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
Accidents
• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 300 block of South Street at about 8:55 a.m. March 10.
• A hit-and-run collision that occurred over the weekend was reported in the 100 block of West High Street at about 1:14 p.m. March 10.
Assault
• Police investigated an assault at about 1:39 p.m. March 9 that had occurred between two students the week prior at Centralia Middle School.
Burglary
• A burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Kresky Avenue at about 9:01 a.m. March 9. The lone or multiple suspects reportedly entered at least two houses under construction and cut copper from the HVAC and took some tubing. Police say the burglary appeared to have occurred last week.
Dispute
• Police responded to a report of two subjects physically fighting in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at about 3:17 p.m. March 9. Upon arrival, police learned that one of the subjects had accused the other of stealing from their gym locker. The stolen item was not recovered. The case is open pending further investigation.
Drug violation
• Police referred a juvenile for charges after the juvenile was found to be in possession of marijuana at school in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 8:22 a.m. March 10.

DUI
• Brenda D. Loescher, 54, Rochester, was arrested in the 1600 block of South Gold Street at about 1:51 p.m. March 10 for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol while in physical control of a motor vehicle.
Malicious mischief
• Maintenance crews discovered at least one person had been sleeping and possibly using drugs in the ingress of the bathrooms at the Centralia Outlets at about 11:04 a.m. March 9. Crews identified a second location off of West High Street that was tagged with minor graffiti.
Protection order violation
• Timothy W. Casentini, 34, Centralia, was referred for felony charges of stalking and protection order violation in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue at about 10:05 a.m. March 10 after a GPS tracking device was reportedly located in a vehicle belonging to a former significant other. According to police, Casentini failed to disclose the location of the tracking device pursuant to a protection order being issued, as ordered by the court. Police said his location was unknown at the time.
Theft
• A resident called 911 at about 10:40 a.m. March 9 to report that their wallet had been stolen the prior evening around 7 p.m.
• Officers investigated a theft at a local medical treatment facility in the 1300 block of Alexander Street at about 1:40 p.m. March 10.
• Theft of a wallet was reported in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at about 5:16 p.m. March 10. There was no suspect information at the time.
Vehicle prowl
• A resident reported in the 1200 block of North Washington Avenue at about 11:15 a.m. March 9 that they awoke to find that someone had entered their vehicle in the evening hours. The resident reported that two pairs of sunglasses, a multi-tool and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen.

Arrests
• Joseph D. Whitney-House was arrested in the 1300 block of North National Avenue at about 7:19 p.m. March 6 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged criminal impersonation and an escape from community custody warrant from the Department of Corrections.
• Retonio Petekuuchmnzawa was arrested in the 2500 block of North National Avenue at about 9:08 a.m. March 9 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged disorderly conduct.
Criminal trespass
• A suspect was issued a citation for alleged second-degree trespass in the 600 block of North National Avenue at about 2:42 p.m. March 7 and transported to the Lewis County Jail.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of March 11, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 168 inmates, including 155 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 128 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of March 11, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 13 inmates. Of those, four were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis and seven were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there was one from the Suquamish Tribe.
