Sirens: Found Children; Hit-and-Run; Assaults; Abandoned RV; Minor in Possession of Alcohol

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Prowls

• A stereo and GPS were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just after 7:40 a.m. on March 19.

• Items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Eureka Avenue just after 2 p.m. on March 19.

• Items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of South Street just after 9:30 a.m. on March 20.

• Items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Jefferson Street just after 1:45 p.m. on March 20.

 

Assaults

• Christopher D. Myers, 33, of Longview, was arrested in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue just before 10:30 p.m. on March 19 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• Breyana J. Overby-McGeary, 23, of Winlock, and Brandon L. Jones, 25, of Centralia, were both arrested in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue at 10:15 p.m. on March 21 and were released with court dates. Overby-McGeary allegedly committed two counts of fourth-degree domestic assault and Jones allegedly brandished a weapon. 

 

DUI

• Jose F. Rodriguez Bonilla, 22, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just before 11 p.m. on March 19 and was booked into Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

 

Theft and Burglary

• Alcohol was reported stolen from a business in the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue just after 2 a.m. on March 20.

• Just after 5 p.m. on March 20, items were reported stolen from a storage unit in the 400 block of North Oak Street.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard was reported at 12:30 p.m. on March 20.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Harrison and Belmont avenues was reported just after 2 p.m. on March 21.

 

Minor in Possession of Alcohol

• A 20-year-old Puyallup man was arrested in the 100 block of South Silver Street just before 2:15 a.m. on March 21 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged disorderly conduct and for allegedly consuming alcohol as a minor.

 

Abandoned RV

• A 60-year-old Randle man was arrested in the 1200 block of Mellen Street at 5:35 p.m. on March 21 and referred to Centralia Municipal Court on a criminal count of littering after he allegedly abandoned an RV trailer on private property.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal Trespass

• Just after 7:30 a.m. on March 19, a caller requested that a person a customer found sleeping in the cab of a truck in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue be trespassed.



• Just before 8:30 a.m. on March 21, a caller requested that two people reportedly sleeping on a back loading dock in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue with “two cats on a string” be trespassed.

 

Theft

• Just before 8:15 a.m. on March 19, a person was arrested for allegedly stealing a 5-hour Energy drink from a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana. They were released with a court date.

• Just before 5:20 p.m. on March 20, a caller reported that someone had scanned merchandise in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue but failed to pay for it before leaving. No arrests were made.

• Just after 10 p.m. on March 20, a caller reported that a man in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue “ran out the door with a spider-wrapped item” they believed to be a BB-gun. No arrests were made.

 

Assaults

• Matthew A. Lucero, 24, of Gervais, Oregon, was arrested just after 3:10 p.m. in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, alleged interference with the reporting of domestic violence, and alleged third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence.

• Andrew W. Zeedyk, 33, of Chehalis, was arrested just after 4:20 p.m. on March 21 in the 900 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue after he allegedly called to ask that people be removed from the residence, reportedly telling police that he is “not trying to hurt anyone but he will” and “he’s not going to be able to keep himself under control for much longer.” He was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Hit-and-Run

• At 3:45 p.m. on March 19, a caller reported that a subject got into a verbal dispute with a hotel guest in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue and allegedly “backed up and rammed into the guest’s car,” also hitting a second vehicle that was entering the parking lot. The subject reportedly got on northbound Interstate 5 before police arrival and no arrests were made.

 

Ongoing Investigations

• A possible case of sexual misconduct in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue that was reported just after 7:05 p.m. on March 19 is under investigation.

• A possible case of inappropriate communication with a minor in the 800 block of Southwest 19th Avenue that was reported at 11:55 a.m. on March 21 is under investigation.

 

Found Children

• Just before 7:40 p.m. on March 19, a caller reported that two children who appeared to be between 10 and 12 years old approached them in the 1600 block of Southwest Gails Avenue and said they were lost. They were successfully reunited with their parents.

 

Possible Vehicle Theft

• Just before 10:50 p.m. on March 19, a caller reported the possible theft of a vehicle in the 200 block of Northeast Washington Avenue.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 135 inmates, including 100 in the general population and 35 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 82 were reported male and 18 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 32 were reported male and three were reported female.
