Sirens: Found ATM; Disorderly Conduct ; Criminal Trespass

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• Three backpacks were reported stolen from a retail store in the 1300 block of Lum Road at approximately 6:50 p.m. on April 3. The case is under investigation. 

• A case of shoplifting was reported from the 1300 block of Lum Road just before 2:10 p.m. on April 4. The suspect fled in a “white vehicle with a black trunk and a duct-taped back window” before officers arrived. 

Found ATM 

• Just after 6:55 a.m. on April 5, officers responded to a report of an ATM that had been broken open and found near the river in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue. The case is under investigation. 

Burglary 

• Just after 7 a.m. on April 4, a burglary to a grocery store in the 500 block of North Tower Avenue that occurred sometime overnight was reported. The case is under investigation. 

• Unknown suspects reportedly broke into a business in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just after 3 a.m. on April 5 and stole the ATM. The case is under investigation. 

Counterfeiting 

• A counterfeit $100 bill was reportedly used to purchase food items from a business in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9:10 p.m. on April 4. 

Disorderly Conduct 

• An Oregon woman was reportedly harassing guests at a business in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just after midnight on April 4. The woman left the property without incident. 

• At 2:40 p.m. on April 4, officers responded to a report of two women who “appeared as if they were going to fight each other” in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard. 

DUI 

• Tatiana A. Park, 21, of Bothell, was arrested in the 3000 block of Galvin Road at approximately 7:10 a.m. on April 4 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence. 

Live Action Role-Play  

• Officers responded to a report of “several males fighting with sticks” in the 200 block of South Pearl Avenue just before 12:15 p.m. on April 4. “It turned out to be two transient males LARPing,” according to the Centralia Police Department. 

Assault 

• A Centralia man was arrested in the 1200 block of G Street just after 12:50 a.m. on April 5 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted a woman and prevented her from calling 911. 



CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Suspicious Circumstances 

• Just before 11:50 a.m. on April 3, a caller reported a subject “came up to her and asked if she wanted to buy any ‘molly’” in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard. 

• A subject who was walking in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue “with a hammer” reported he “hit one of the electric signs” at 9:45 a.m. on April 4. 

Disorderly Conduct 

• A disorderly subject was reported inside a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 2:20 p.m. on April 3. 

• Five juveniles were reportedly “throwing rocks into the street” in the 700 block of North National Avenue just before 3:55 p.m. on April 3. 

Theft 

• A case of second-degree theft reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 6:45 p.m. on April 3 is under investigation. 

• A case of third-degree theft that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue on April 1 was reported just before 9:30 p.m. on April 3. 

• A tire rim was reported stolen from the 900 block of Southwest State Avenue just before 1:40 p.m. on April 4. 

• A case of third-degree theft reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just before 7:45 p.m. on April 4 is under investigation. 

Criminal Trespass 

• A subject reported he was “being harassed by a security guard” who “always thinks he’s sleeping in his car” in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 11:15 p.m. on April 3. The security officer reported “he’s being asked to tell everybody to leave.” The subject reported “he is homeless but sleeps in his car then goes to work.” When offered the cold weather shelter by an officer, the subject reportedly said “it’s not a good place to stay,” adding that he “makes good money but can’t afford $1,500 rent.” 

• A case of trespassing was reported in the 200 block of Southeast Winchester Hill Drive just after 12:15 p.m. on April 4. 

• Just after 2:15 p.m. on April 4, a business reported “ongoing issues with transients last week,” including people “coming into businesses (and) using the restroom” and “aggressive behavior.” The business requested extra patrols around closing time. 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 146 inmates, including 131 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 104 were reported male and 27 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and three were reported female.
