Sirens: Firearm brandished during dispute over music; 'new friend' steals gun, cash; stolen wallet recovered, suspect jailed

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Dakota W. Davidson, 31, Chehalis, was arrested in the 900 block of J Street at about 6:50 p.m. July 10 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged possession of suspected methamphetamine and heroin, use/delivery of drug paraphernalia and physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of narcotics. Police said they first noticed Davidson “nodded out” behind the wheel of a running vehicle. Upon execution of a search warrant, police allegedly found suspected heroin inside the vehicle. Police searched Davidson during his arrest and allegedly found suspected methamphetamine. Police reportedly obtained a search warrant for a blood draw to test for narcotics in Davidson’s system.

• Kramer L. Mitchell, 37, Winlock, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree theft at about 9:13 p.m. July 12 after allegedly admitting to stealing a wallet off the trunk of a car in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at about 11:13 p.m. July 9. The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest. Police returned the wallet to the victim.

Accidents

• Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries near the corner of Borst Avenue and North Scheuber Road at about 3:11 p.m. July 10. The driver at fault, a juvenile, was issued a criminal citation for allegedly driving without a driver’s license. Police said the driver was also cited for multiple civil infractions.

Assault

• Officers responded to a reported assault between family members in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 7:51 p.m. July 11. Police referred the case to Centralia prosecutors due to conflicting statements between the involved parties.

Criminal trespass

• Angelina Tomburello, 34, Pe Ell, was reportedly trespassed from a local business in the 1200 block of Mellen Street at about 11:57 a.m. July 12. Tomburello was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an outstanding Lewis County District Court warrant for alleged fourth-degree assault.

DUI

• Zackery A. Marshall, 26, Rainier, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence near the corner of West First Street and North Pearl Street at about 11:51 p.m. July 11.

Fire

• Officers assisted the Riverside Fire Authority with a reported residential structure fire in the 500 block of North Rock Street at about 3:52 p.m. July 11. Though an overheated appliance had caused smoke, the structure reportedly did not catch fire.

Harassment

• A transient male allegedly threatened security staff and attempted to strike them when asked to leave a property in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:45 p.m. July 11. The male left before police arrived. The case is under investigation.

Nuisance violation

• A 49-year-old Centralia man was issued a criminal citation for allegedly camping on city property — his second offense — in the 500 block of North Pearl Street at about 9:27 a.m. July 10.

Order violation

• Reena Schiele, 39, Centralia, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for an alleged protection order violation in the 1900 block of Cooks Hill Road at about 10:32 a.m. July 10.

Possession of controlled substances



• Adam Kay, 43, Centralia, was issued a criminal citation for alleged possession of a controlled substance in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street at about 2:27 p.m. July 11, after police reportedly found Kay in possession of alleged methamphetamine during a traffic stop. Kay did not have a valid driver’s license, police said.

• Isaac E. Mcallister, 39, Centralia, was arrested and released with a criminal citation for alleged use of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of Warren Street at about 7:04 a.m. July 13.

Theft

• Officers received a report of a stolen bank card in the 1300 block of South Gold Street at about 3:07 p.m. July 10. The card was reportedly used at several out-of-town businesses. The case is under investigation.

• Medication was reported stolen in the 1500 block of Harrison Avenue at about 5:44 p.m. July 10. The case is under investigation.

• Officers responded to a shoplifting at a local business in the 100 block of West High Street at about 11:48 a.m. July 11. Police said they have identified one of the two suspects. The case remains under investigation.

• Kelli Kinkade, 20, Tenino, was referred to the Lewis County Superior Court for possible charges of second-degree theft, violation of a no-contact order, and third-degree malicious mischief — all considered domestic violence — in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue at about 12:05 p.m. July 12. Police allege that Kinkade violated an existing court order, stole the petitioner’s bank card and withdrew several hundred dollars of cash from an ATM.

• Two unknown females stole over $160 worth of makeup from a store in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 4:43 p.m. July 12. The case is under investigation.

• A victim reported the theft of a firearm and $650 from his residence in the 3200 block of Galvin Road at about 2:10 a.m. July 13. According to police, the victim said he’d invited a new friend from Vancouver to his residence. While he was in the bathroom, the woman allegedly stole the items and left in her vehicle. The suspect had already left town by the time the victim reported the alleged crime. Officers identified the female and developed probable cause for charges of firearm theft, unlawful firearm possession and second-degree theft. Police said the suspect is also wanted for an outstanding Department of Corrections felony warrant. Several officers in other jurisdictions reportedly spotted the female driving southbound toward Vancouver at a high rate of speed, but were unable to catch up to her vehicle to initiate pursuit.

Unlawful weapon display

• A suspect allegedly brandished a firearm during a dispute over loud music in the 3000 block of Borst Avenue at about 5 p.m. July 12.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of July 13, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 144 inmates, including 131 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 112 were reported male and 19 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of July 13, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 16 inmates. Of those, three were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis, one was from Napavine and four were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were three from the Lummi Nation, and one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe, the Skokomish Tribe and the Chehalis Tribe.
