CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just before 11:55 a.m. on Oct. 26.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 2300 block of North Pearl Street just before 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 26.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue just after 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 27.

 

Camping on City Property

• A Centralia woman was cited for camping at city parks or on city property in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue just before 3:25 p.m. on Oct. 16 after receiving two prior infractions for the same offense.

 

Eluding

• An officer attempted a traffic stop for expired registration on a vehicle at the intersection of F and West Fifth streets at approximately 10:05 a.m. on Oct. 27, but the vehicle fled in a reckless manner. The case is pending further investigation.

 

DUI

• Jesus E. Pascual Martinez, 20, of Rochester, was arrested following a traffic stop at the intersection of B and East Sixth streets just before 10:25 a.m. on Oct. 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• Damage caused by attempted entry to a vehicle in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue was reported just after 3:20 p.m. on Oct. 27.

• Personal items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of West High Street just before 4:25 p.m. on Oct. 27.

 

Assault

• A Centralia resident was arrested in the 3400 block of Cooks Hill Road at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 28 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief, both domestic violence charges, following a dispute with a family member.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Disputes

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 500 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue just before 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 26.

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard just after 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 27.

 

Theft



• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:50 p.m. on Oct. 26 is under investigation.

• At 2:35 p.m. on Oct. 27, a reporting party claimed someone stole items from her residence in the 300 block of Southeast Washington Avenue after she left the door open.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 27.

 

Burglary

• A case of second-degree burglary reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 7:55 p.m. on Oct. 27 is under investigation.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Vandalism to a vehicle was reported in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard just after 9:10 p.m. on Oct. 26.

 

Vehicle Accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle accident was reported in the 1500 block of South Market Boulevard at 7:35 a.m. on Oct. 27. A vehicle reportedly rear-ended another vehicle.

• Minor injuries were reported following a vehicle versus motorcycle collision in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Oct. 27.

 

Harassment

• A case of possible harassment was reported in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 27. When the officer asked clarifying questions, the caller reportedly screamed at the officer “to the point of being unintelligible” and hung up, claiming she “would see (the officer) in court.”

 

Drug Violation

• A subject was arrested and was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center after school security located drugs at W.F. West High School at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Oct. 27.

 

Trespassing

• A subject was arrested in the 1900 block of South Gold Street at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Oct. 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 157 inmates, including 144 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 30 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
