CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Jose Ochoa Ambriz, 18, Rochester, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence after he allegedly almost crashed into a police officer’s patrol vehicle in the 1500 block of North Pearl Street at about 10:02 p.m. Oct. 31.
• Tiffany R. Hilton, 38, Centralia, was arrested in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at about 9:54 a.m. Nov. 1 for criminal trespassing she allegedly perpetrated the day prior. Hilton allegedly resisted arrest when contacted by an officer and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on an additional charge.
• Jose Mateo Gervacio, 43, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence after he was allegedly found operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on alcohol at the corner of South Iron Street and West Cherry Street at about 7:37 p.m. Nov. 1. Gervacio received an infraction for allegedly operating a motor vehicle without insurance and for not having a valid operator’s license with identification.
• Brenna M. Layton, 32, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 1300 block of North Pearl Street at about 2:18 p.m. Nov. 2.
Assault
• An assault was reported in the 3500 block of Steelhammer Drive at about 6:53 a.m. Nov. 2. The case is under investigation.
Burglary
• Burglary and theft from a construction site was reported in the 1300 block of Kresky Avenue at about 12:47 p.m. Oct. 31. No suspect information was available at the time.
Criminal trespassing
• Teresa L. Leys, 56, Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for second-degree criminal trespassing after allegedly going onto a property from which she was trespassed in the 100 block of South Silver Street at about 11:57 a.m. Nov. 1.
Department assist
• Centralia police assisted the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) in locating an outstanding suspect involved in a hit-and-run collision occurring minutes earlier in the 800 block of state Route 507 at about 6:15 p.m. Nov. 1. The case was investigated by the LCSO.
Eluding police
• A suspicious vehicle parked outside of a local business fled from law enforcement in the 100 block of West High Street at about 2:33 p.m. Oct. 31. The vehicle reportedly drove the wrong way into traffic. No suspect information was available at the time.
Malicious mischief
• Joshua Johnson, 41, Centralia, was referred to the Lewis County Superior Court for second-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence, after allegedly slashing the tire of an automobile belonging to someone with whom he had a household/family relationship. The incident reportedly occurred at the corner of Jalyn Street and Kayu Lane at about 4:10 p.m. Oct. 31.
Marijuana violation
• A juvenile was referred to the Lewis County Juvenile Court for possession of marijuana in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 9:23 a.m. Oct. 31.
Parole violation
• Stephen D. Cobb, 53, Onalaska, was arrested for allegedly violating his conditions of release in the 1200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at about 5:08 p.m. Nov. 2.
Theft
• Shannon Elder, 38, Rochester, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for third-degree theft after allegedly attempting to shoplift candy from a local business in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 6:48 p.m. Oct. 31.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Nov. 3, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 174 inmates, including 161 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 130 were reported male and 31 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Nov. 3, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 22 inmates. Of those, 11 were from Centralia and three were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were three inmates from the Lummi Nation, two from the Quileute Nation, two from the Tulalip Tribe and one from Suquamish Tribe.
