Sirens: DUI arrest after crash; marijuana grow discovered; sexual assault reported; juvenile accused of domestic violence

DUI

• Rustin R. Gilbert was cited for DUI and booked into the Lewis County Jail following a two-vehicle crash in the 600 block of North National Avenue at about 10:28 a.m. June 8.

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Chaz D. Martinez, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail on multiple outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrants at about 8 a.m. June 8 in the 100 block of West Maple Street.

• Zachary S. Cline, 33, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree theft, knowing possession of a controlled substance, and possession/use of drug paraphernalia after he was alleged to have shoplifted from a store and was found to have narcotic materials. The arrest occurred at about 11:24 a.m. June 8 in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue.

• Takevia Wilson, 28, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after allegedly assaulting a household member at about 9:51 p.m. June 8 in the 800 block of Alder Street. Additionally, Wilson and Brandon Hefel, 32, Centralia, were both referred for charging to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for violation of RCW 69.50.401 — unlawful manufacture/production of a controlled substance — after a marijuana grow was located inside their residence during the assault investigation.

• Joshua Harris, 54, Chehalis, was arrested in the 100 block of West Maple Street at about 4:09 p.m. June 9 and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant for alleged third-degree theft.

Assault

• An assault between juveniles was reported in the 900 block of Johnson Road at about 3:40 p.m. June 9. The case is under investigation.

Criminal trespass

• A transient was trespassed from a park and received a notice of infraction for camping after officers contacted him in the 100 block of West Bridge Street at about 9:07 a.m. June 9.



Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported at about 10:22 a.m. June 8 in the 900 block of Johnson Road. The case remains under investigation.

Juvenile problems

• A juvenile was found to be in potential violation of the conditions of his probation when contacted at about 11:23 a.m. June 8 in the 1000 block of North Washington Avenue. The case is being forwarded to the juvenile’s probation officer for follow-up.

• A juvenile male was arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after allegedly assaulting multiple household members at about 7:02 p.m. June 8 in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue.

Sexual assault

• A sexual assault was reported in the 700 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 3:58 p.m. June 9. The case is under investigation.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of June 10, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 153 inmates, including 140 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 121 were reported male and 19 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of June 10, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 17 inmates. Of those, four were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis, one was from Elma and six were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were two from the Skokomish Tribe and one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe and the Chehalis Tribal Court.
