CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was moved along from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 11:45 a.m. on June 27. 

 

Disputes 

• A physical dispute between two men was reported in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 11:40 a.m. on June 26. 

• A verbal dispute was reported in the 900 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at approximately 12:05 p.m. on June 26. 

 

Dog In Hot Car 

• A husky was reportedly in distress inside a locked car in the 300 block of West Main Street just after 12:35 p.m. on June 26. 

 

Burglary 

• A case of second-degree burglary reported in the 400 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at 1:45 p.m. on June 26 is under investigation. 

 

Vehicle Accident 

• A vehicle vs. bicycle collision was reported at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southeast Kenwood Drive just after 3:55 p.m. on June 26. The bicyclist reportedly sustained a bloody nose but declined medical care and left the scene on his bicycle. 

 

Theft 

• A case of possible attempted shoplifting was reported at a business in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 3:40 p.m. on June 26. No theft occurred. 

• A case of possible attempted shoplifting was reported at a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 5:30 p.m. on June 27. No theft occurred. 

• A case of possible attempted theft was reported at a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 12:40 a.m. on June 28. The subjects were trespassed from the business. 

 

Disorderly Conduct 

• Just after 8:10 a.m. on June 26, a disorderly male reportedly told the cashier at a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue “there is a whole bus of immigrants over there, I feel like I should start shooting.” The subject did not have visible weapons on his person.

• A disorderly male was reportedly “jumping on the bench and cussing at passing people” in the 300 block of Northwest North Street just before 10:35 a.m. on June 26. 

• A disorderly male was reportedly “out in the middle of the street, smashing things and yelling at people” in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 10:35 a.m. on June 26. 

• A disorderly male was reportedly “yelling/screaming (and) talking to himself” outside a store in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 11:45 p.m. on June 26. Store personnel asked officers to trespass the male from the business. 

• A subject who was having difficulty breathing and was acting disorderly reportedly entered a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 3:05 a.m. on June 27. The subject reportedly told the reporting party “someone is after him” and drank two energy drinks in the store without paying for them. Store personnel asked officers to trespass the male from the business. 



• A male subject was arrested in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for trespassing. 

 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 800 block of Southwest William Avenue just before 10:25 p.m. on June 27. 

 

Assault 

• A subject was cited for fourth-degree assault in the 800 block of Southwest 21st Street just after 8:45 p.m. on June 27. 

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Criminal Trespass 

• A homeless person from Toledo who was found sleeping in front of the entrance to a business in the 300 block of South Tower Avenue at 8:35 a.m. on June 27 was trespassed from the property. 

 

Assault 

• A Chehalis woman was arrested in the 1100 block of South Pearl Street at 11:50 a.m. on June 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

• Fourth-degree assault, domestic violence charges against a Centralia man were referred to a local prosecutor’s office after the man was involved in a physical altercation in the 1300 block of Sunset Way at 6 a.m. on June 28. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. 

 

Vehicle Accident 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue at 10:05 a.m. on June 27. 

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of South Tower Avenue and East Locust Street just after 4 p.m. on June 27. 

 

Runaway Juvenile 

• Just before 6:15 a.m. on June 28, officers took a report of a 17-year-old runaway who did not return home to the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road after work as directed by their guardian. 

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 159 inmates, including 146 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 112 were reported male and 34 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
