Sirens: Burglars party at Centralia home; tracker found in woman's vehicle; juveniles reportedly bully disabled person

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Kevan J. Waterman, 48, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault in the 100 block of East Pine Street at about 7:32 p.m. June 17.

• Gregory Schroeder, 40, Centralia, was arrested in the 1200 block of North Tower Avenue at about 7:17 p.m. June 18 after allegedly assaulting a man during an altercation. The altercation reportedly concerned the man borrowing a ladder.

Accidents

• A two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 12:52 p.m. June 17.

• A two-vehicle collision with minor injuries was reported near the corner of South Gold Street and Floral Street at about 5:34 p.m. June 17.

• Following a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries, a 43-year-old Centralia woman was issued a citation for third-degree driving with a suspended license in the 1400 block of South Gold Street at about 1:39 p.m. June 18.

• A two-vehicle collision was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at about 3:02 p.m. June 18.

Assault

• An assault was reported near the corner of South Tower Avenue and West Plum Street at about 4:12 p.m. June 18. The case is under investigation.

Burglary

• A woman reported a burglary in the 200 block of South Diamond Street at about 9:39 p.m. June 18. The woman said she arrived home to find her residence had been broken into. A party had apparently been held inside the home while she was away. Police said several empty alcohol containers and furniture were moved around the house. The case is under investigation.

Communication with minor for immoral purposes

• A male juvenile from Vancouver was arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention for alleged communication with a minor for immoral purposes in the 1000 block of South Tower Avenue at about 10:11 p.m. June 17. Police said the suspect was visiting family for the summer.

• Inappropriate communication with a minor was reported in the 200 block of West Oakview Avenue at about 6:15 p.m. June 18. The case is under investigation.

Fraud

• Fraud was reported in the 1100 block of Caveness Drive at about 9:30 a.m. June 17. The case is under investigation.

• Fraud was reported in the 100 block of West Maple Street at about 10:23 a.m. June 18. The case is under investigation.

Harassment

• A woman reported a tracker allegedly found inside her vehicle in the 1500 block of Logan Street at about 8:51 p.m. June 18. The Centralia Police Department said officers arrived to find an AirTag “placed meticulously inside the vehicle's trim.” The woman reportedly became aware of the AirTag when it began buzzing. The case is under investigation.

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue at about 2:42 p.m. June 18. The case is under investigation.



• A hit-and-run was reported near the corner of Harrison Avenue and southbound Interstate 5 at about 3:50 p.m. June 18. The case is under investigation.

Theft

• A suspect reportedly stole money from a purse at a local business in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at about 1:56 p.m. June 17. The case is under investigation.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Arrests

• Doniell J. Tisdale was arrested and charged with two counts of alleged fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and one count of alleged third-degree theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 6:23 p.m. June 12.

Assault

• David M. Cline was referred for one count each of alleged second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault in the 10 block of Northeast Boistfort Street at about 2:47 a.m. June 13.  Katelyn N. Cline was also referred for one count of alleged fourth-degree assault.

• A 9-year-old female juvenile was referred for alleged fourth-degree assault in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street at about 1:37 p.m. June 17 after police responded to a report of multiple kids bullying and dumping water on a disabled female.

•  David E. Grishman was issued a criminal citation for alleged fourth-degree assault in the 10 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue at about 11:47 p.m. June 17.

Criminal trespass

• Deedra A. Fagernes was issued a criminal citation and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 600 block of West Main Street at about 11:18 p.m. June 13.

• Aaron M. Jernigan-Parish was issued a criminal citation and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at about 6:10 a.m. June 17.

• Nathan Kloecker was referred for alleged second-degree criminal trespass in the 600 block of West Main Street at about 10:40 p.m. June 17.

•  Don K. Gonzales was issued a criminal citation and booked into Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree criminal trespass and legend drug possession in the 2000 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at about 11:37 p.m. June 17.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of June 17, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 150 inmates, including 137 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 115 were reported male and 22 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of June 19, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 18 inmates. Of those, four were from Centralia, one was from Chehalis, one was from Napavine and five were from the Department of Corrections. Additionally, there were three from the Lummi Nation and one each from the Quileute Nation, the Shoalwater Bay Tribe, the Skokomish Tribe and the Chehalis Tribal Court.
