Sirens: Assault follows road rage incident; woman leads police on chase; female solicits employees for sex; juvenile drives under the influence

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Drug possession

• Rhonda L. Tune, 55, of Centralia, was arrested and issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled substance in the 1500 block of Cooks Hill Road just before 8 a.m. on Dec. 16.

Arrests

• John M. McCrory, 36, of Rochester, was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the 100 block of West Maple Street just before 5 p.m. on Dec. 15.

• Barbara A. Haase, 63, of Chehalis, was arrested and issued a court summons on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant in the 100 block of West Maple Street just before 9 a.m. on Dec. 16.

• Antonio Rivera, 31, of Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of West Maple Street at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Dec. 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail on Lewis County Superior Court felony warrant related to a drug offender sentencing alternative (DOSA) violation.

• Don Gonzales, 36, of Centralia, was arrested in the 600 block of West Main Street at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 16 and released with a new Centralia Municipal Court date for an outstanding arrest warrant for first-degree criminal trespass.

• Samantha J. Case, 31, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for vehicle theft and two counts of eluding. Officers received FLOCK alerts of the stolen vehicle and were able to locate it in the 1700 block of Cooks Hill Road just before 7:20 a.m. on Dec. 15. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but it fled. Due to high pedestrian traffic and safety concerns for the public, officers did not pursue the vehicle. Later, the vehicle was reported for a hit and run in Thurston County. Centralia Police again located the vehicle, which again fled.  This time, officers pursued the vehicle in a field and were able to get it stopped and took Case into custody without further incident.

Criminal trespass

• Tiffany R. Hilton, 38, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 15 after going onto property she had previously been trespassed from. She was also arrested for resisting arrest and possession of a dangerous weapon.

• A man was trespassed from a business in the 100 block of North Pearl Street at 11:50 a.m. on Dec. 16 for drinking alcohol in the lobby.

• A male was trespassed from a location in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just after 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 16 after becoming belligerent and refusing to leave.

• A female was trespassed from a business in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 16 after allegedly soliciting employees for sex.

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Dec. 15.

• A hit-and-run reported at the intersection of Russell Road and Harrison Avenue just after noon on Dec. 16 is under investigation.

DUI

• A juvenile was arrested in the 600 block of Marion Street at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Dec. 15 after driving under the influence of alcohol and being involved in a collision.



Vehicle accident

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 2:55 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Assault

• Brian M. Raappana, 34, of Centralia, was arrested in the 800 block of West Sixth Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Dec. 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• Christina A.L. Dukes, 37, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 6:55 p.m. on Dec. 15 after being involved in a physical altercation with an acquaintance.

• An assault during a road-rage incident was reported in the 500 block of West Second Street at approximately 8:55 p.m. on Dec. 16. The case is under investigation.

Disorderly conduct

• Joseph Berg, 72, of Tacoma, was arrested just before 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for interfering with a health care facility in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.

Harassment

• Otto Banick, 52, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1700 block of North Tower Avenue at approximately 2:55 a.m. on Dec. 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for felony harassment, threats to kill.

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Chehalis Police Department has not yet released its most recent call reports. Look for updated information in an upcoming edition of The Chronicle and at chronline.com when the reports are made available.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Dec. 17, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 156 inmates, including 143 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 115 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Dec. 17, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total jail population of 20 inmates. Of those, five were from Centralia, nine were from the Department of Corrections and one was from Napavine. Additionally, there was one inmate each from the Quileute Nation, Suquamish Tribe, Shoalwater Bay Tribe, Tulalip Tribe and Lummi Nation.
