CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of South Pearl and West Pear streets just before 4 p.m. on July 19.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue just before 4:20 p.m. on July 19.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of North Pearl Street and Tacoma Avenue just before 5:20 p.m. on July 19.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of North Tower Avenue and East First Street just after 3:45 p.m. on July 20.

 

Assault

• Deborah A. Sample, 61, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1400 block of View Avenue just after 1:20 a.m. on July 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault.

 

Hit-and-Run and DUI

• Paul L. Christianson, 62, of Bucoda, was arrested at the intersection of Mellen and Ellsbury streets at approximately 3 p.m. on July 20 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for an alleged hit-and-run and driving under the influence.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just before 10:20 p.m. on July 20.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• At 8:20 a.m. on July 19, a caller reported a vehicle had been stolen from the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue sometime over the weekend.

• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 11:15 a.m. on July 19.



• Hanging plants were reported stolen from the 1000 block of Northwest State Street just after 9:10 a.m. on July 20.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from the 1500 block of Northwest State Street at 10 a.m. on July 20.

 

Under Investigation

• Information on a wanted person reported in the 2100 block of Southwest Olympic Drive just after 9:40 a.m. on July 19 is under investigation.

 

Shooting Complaint

• Just before 9:55 p.m. on July 19, a caller reported hearing two gunshots that possibly came from a black van in the 100 block of Southwest Seventh Street, then saw people running away from the van. No arrests were made.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A criminal trespass was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 10:50 a.m. on July 20.

• A criminal trespass was reported in the 500 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue just before 11 a.m. on July 20.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Chehalis Avenue and West Main Street just after 3:05 p.m. on July 20.

• A non-injury collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 3:10 p.m. on July 20.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 142 inmates, including 121 in the general population and 21 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center.

Of general population inmates, 103 were reported male and 18 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
