Hit and Run

• At 4:09 p.m. Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard. The victim reported their vehicle was struck by another vehicle, which then fled.

 

Stolen Vehicles Recovered

• At 8:36 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1100 block of Mellen Street where a vehicle stolen from the Chehalis Tribal Police was located and recovered.

• At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, a vehicle was reported as stolen in the 800 block of Field Avenue and then located a short time later.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 11:46 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 3200 block of Borst Avenue. The victim reported items were stolen from the vehicle about two months ago.

 

Theft

• At noon Thursday, police were notified that two male subjects stole about $180 worth of alcohol in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue.

 

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 2:47 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 700 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Lucas D. Bryan, 29, a Centralia transient on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Attempted Burglary Reported

• At 5:48 p.m. Thursday, a caller in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue reported someone broke glass on a business’s window.

 

ID Theft Suspect Booked

• At 10:38 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road and arrested Ian P. Trask, 48, no city of residence provided, on suspicion of second-degree identity theft. Trask allegedly provided a false name to check into Providence Centralia Hospital.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Threats Reported

• At 1:46 p.m. Wednesday, police were notified of a person threatening another person in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue.

 

Theft Suspect Booked

• At 9:14 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1700 block of North National Avenue and arrested Ryan A. Emery, 25, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

Man Heard Uttering

Threatening Phrases

• At 9:49 a.m. Thursday, police were requested in the 10 block of Northeast Park Street, where a caller said a man was sitting on steps, talking to himself for about 30 minutes. The man was allegedly saying over and over again that he was going to kill people.

 

Woman Removes Clothes, Throws Them at Passing Cars

• At 3:08 p.m. Thursday, a caller in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue said a woman was removing articles of clothing and throwing them at passing cars. Police responded and arrested Alicia L. Wilks, 41, of Centralia on multiple outstanding warrants.

 

Unconscious Man Reported

• At 528 p.m. Thursday, police were requested in the 1700 block  of Northwest Louisiana Avenue where a man was seen passed out in a grassy area.

 

Suspect Booked for Alleged Meth Possession

• At 12:25 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 500 block of Northeast Washington Avenue and arrested Megan M. Murphy, 31, of Tenino on suspicion of possession of meth.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 217 inmates, with 185 in general population, 31 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 153 were men and 32 were women, and of WERC inmates, 26 were men and five were women. A total of 38 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
