CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Brenna M. Layton, 32, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after allegedly assaulting a family member in the 1300 block of North Pearl Street at about 12:38 p.m. Sept. 29. The felony charge is reportedly due to Layton’s prior domestic violence convictions.
• Bobbie M. Alf, 26, Yelm, was arrested and booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail at about 2:14 p.m. Tuesday on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant after a short foot pursuit with an officer in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street. The suspect admitted to taking the bus from Olympia to purchase drugs from the area of the “Circus House,” according to police.
Accidents
• A hit-and-run collision was reported in the parking lot of a local business in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue at about 6:40 p.m. Sept. 29. No suspect information is available.
Malicious mischief
• Randy Durham, 43, Centralia, was arrested, released and referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for third-degree malicious mischief after damaging a vehicle windshield with a stick in the 800 block of South Gold Street at about 4:18 p.m. Tuesday.
• Jesus Gomez Mendez, 27, Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief after spray painting graffiti on numerous buildings downtown in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at about 11:04 p.m. Tuesday.
Assault
• Javier Sanchez, 24, Centralia, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after allegedly attacking a member of his household in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue at about 12:44 a.m. Sept. 30. The case is under investigation.
Criminal trespass
• Jaimee M. Perry, 49, Napavine, was referred for criminal charges and trespassed from a business in the 200 block of South Pearl Street at about 9:14 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect returned to a business where she had previously attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill and was promptly recognized by the staff.
Indecent exposure
• A juvenile was accused of exposing their genitalia to another juvenile in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue at about 2:26 p.m. Sept. 29. The case is under investigation.
Theft
• A theft was reported from a store in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue at about 3:37 p.m. Sept. 29. Staff reportedly confronted the female suspect, who was believed to have abandoned some of the items.
• A theft was reported from a local business in the 1300 block of Lum Road at about 5:43 p.m. Tuesday. No suspect information was available as of Wednesday morning.
• A theft was reported from a local business in the 100 block of West High Street at about 6:53 p.m. Tuesday. No suspect information was available as of Wednesday morning.
Violation of a protection order
• Brennan Schoolcraft, 32, Chehalis, was referred to the Centralia Municipal Court for violation of a no-contact order in the 1400 block of Lewis Street at about 7:02 p.m. Sept. 29, after allegedly communicating with the petitioner electronically.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
• Lauren M. Payne, 30, Chehalis, was transported and booked into the Lewis County Jail for one count of unlawful imprisonment, domestic violence, after allegedly assaulting a relative in the 1500 block of Southwest Thomsen Avenue at about 9:49 a.m. Sept. 26.
• David J. Torrance, 61, Seattle, was arrested and cited for alleged fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at about 3:34 p.m. Sept. 26.
Accidents
• A transit bus and vehicle collided at the corner of West Main Street and Northwest Chehalis Avenue at about 1:29 p.m. Sept. 26. No arrests were made.
Communication with minor
• An active case began in the 600 block of Northeast Franklin Avenue at about 4:50 p.m. Sept. 25.
Malicious mischief
• The window of a Honda Pilot was reported smashed in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard at about 1:08 p.m. Sept. 25.
Theft
• A theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at about 2:20 p.m. Sept. 27. No arrests were made.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Oct. 1, the Lewis County Jail had a total facility population of 168 inmates, including 155 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of the general population inmates, 132 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
