CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Theft
• A third-degree theft reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 2:45 p.m. on April 18 is under investigation.
• Speakers were reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard just before 10:25 p.m. on April 19.
• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard just before 10:50 p.m. on April 19.
• $500 in copper was reported stolen from the 400 block of Northeast Alaskan Way at 6:15 p.m. on April 21.
Assault
• A 24-year-old Centralia man was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 12:15 p.m. on April 19.
• Dillon M. Halliday, 22, of Chehalis, was arrested on one count of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly brandished a gun during a dispute in the 300 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue just before 3:40 a.m. on April 20.
• A 28-year-old Pasco man was arrested for fourth-degree assault and tampering with a fire alarm after he allegedly threw a cup of water at a staff member’s face and pulled the fire alarm at a facility in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 4 p.m. on April 20.
Fraud
• A counterfeit $50 bill was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way just before 12:45 p.m. on April 19.
• A counterfeit $20 bill was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just before 1:15 p.m. on April 19.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Ninth Street just before 6:15 p.m. on April 20.
CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Theft
• Alcohol was reported stolen from a store in the 1000 block of South Yew Street just after 11:10 a.m. on April 18. The case is under investigation.
• A 41-year-old Redmond man and a 37-year-old Kent woman were arrested for attempting to steal a cart full of grocery items from a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at 12:35 p.m. on April 19.
• A 35-year-old Seattle man was arrested for stealing from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just before 3:10 p.m. on April 19.
• A 50-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for stealing from a business in the 1000 block of South Yew Street at 9:45 p.m. on April 19.
• A 47-year-old Chehalis woman was arrested for stealing from a business in the 1000 block of South Yew Street just after 10:50 p.m. on April 19.
• A 37-year-old Winlock man was arrested for shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at 1:25 p.m. on April 20.
• Property damage and theft of jewelry was reported at a residence in the 900 block of East Main Street at approximately 2:55 p.m. on April 20.
Vehicle accidents
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue just after 12:40 p.m. on April 18.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1800 block of North Pearl Street just after 2:05 p.m. on April 18.
• A non-injury collision that occurred in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue on April 16 was reported just after 9:15 p.m. on April 18.
• A collision between a vehicle and two golf carts was reported in the 700 block of Pioneer Way at approximately 8:25 p.m. on April 20. No injuries were reported.
Hit-and-run
• A 46-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for a hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue just after 11:20 p.m. on April 19.
• A 65-year-old Centralia man was arrested for a hit-and-run in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 10:40 a.m. on April 20.
Noise violation
• A 41-year-old Centralia woman was cited for a nuisance noise violation in the 400 block of North Ash Street just after 10:05 p.m. on April 18 after she repeatedly called 911 to report her neighbor for being loud and officers discovered “she was in fact the one screaming and clapping in the middle of the night and disturbing the neighbors,” according to the Centralia Police Department.
Malicious mischief
• At 4:55 a.m. on April 20, officers received a report that a gas line had been cut and a gas tank had been drained in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road.
Criminal trespass
• A 47-year-old Centralia man was arrested for trespassing at a business on Harrison Avenue near northbound Interstate 5 at approximately 9:45 p.m. on April 20.
Assault
• A 45-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and a 20-year-old Centralia woman was cited for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, after they allegedly assaulted family members in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street at 2:55 p.m. on April 20.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Friday morning and Monday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 59 illness-related calls, 19 injury-related calls, nine fire-related calls, five non-emergency service calls, one rescue, two medical helicopter requests, five Lifeline medical alerts, six vehicle accidents, one ambulance request and three other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 150 inmates, including 137 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Monday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 19 inmates, including six booked by the Centralia Police Department, five booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Law Enforcement, one booked by the City of Elma, one booked by the Tenino Police Department, two booked by La Push Quileute Nation and one booked by the Lummi Nation.
