Down a couple of starters, the Tenino volleyball team lost in three sets to Seton Catholic in a non-league matchup, 25-19, 25-16, 25-9.
Addyson Sutherland led the Beavers (3-3) with six kills, while Jaeleen Woodward, who normally sticks to the back row for Tenino, added four kills to go along with 11 digs.
“As a defensive specialist, she hasn’t seen the front row in over a year,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said. “But she stepped up.”
Brooklyn Bratton had 19 digs to lead the defense, and also dished out five assists. Katen Burkhardt had four assists, six digs and two kills, Kylee Petrich had six digs, three assists and two kills, and Natalie Davis had seven digs and two aces.
As a team, Tenino only missed on two serves.
The Beavers will get one last non-league matchup before 1A Evergreen play starts, hosting Ilwaco next Monday.
