Thurston County deputies have asked the public for help locating a missing 17-year-old Olympia High School football player.
Gabriel Davies has been missing since about 4 p.m. Wednesday “under suspicious circumstances,” according to social media posts by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
He reportedly left his Olympia home to attend football practice at Olympia High School, but he never arrived. Deputies found his vehicle near the 16100 block of Tilley Road South west of Tenino, according to the sheriff’s office.
Davies was last seen walking alone, northbound near the 15000 block of Tilley Road South, at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office posted Thursday morning.
Sheriff’s office search and rescue resources have started looking in that area, according to the update.
Detectives learned about his last sighting thanks to a tip.
