Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders announced on Facebook last week that he was approached by the police television show On Patrol: Live for a potential filming partnership.
He wrote in the post that the show staff would potentially ride along with his office as part of the real-time patrol docu-series. He added that Thurston County Sheriff’s Office would be one of “just a handful” of agencies across the country featured on the Reelz show.
“I will be meeting with their executive producer to get an idea of what all this entails as there is much to discuss in the realm of privacy, legal, current staffing levels and general interest,” Sanders wrote.
The sheriff said he would provide updates to this if anything materializes with the series.
