Relay for Life of Lewis County has teamed up with several businesses to raise money for the main walkathon event for the American Cancer Society at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds in Chehalis on May 17.
Seven fundraising events will be held leading up to the relay. Relay for Life of Lewis County will receive a certain percentage of event sales for its efforts to raise funds to improve cancer survival and the quality of life for cancer patients and their caretakers.
• March 13 through April 19: Little Caesars. Participants can scan the QR code on the flyer on the Relay for Life of Lewis County Facebook page, and $6 from every purchase goes to support the group.
• April 4: Panda Express, 710 NW Arkansas Way, Chehalis, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Relay for Life will receive 20% of event sales. Those wishing to participate can bring a paper flyer or show it to Panda Express employees on their phone, or they can order online or using the app with the code 3837564. Another fundraiser will be held at Panda Express on May 9.
• April 13: Team Deb Kickin’ Out Cancer Bingo, Chehalis Livestock Market Cafe, 329 Hamilton Road, Chehalis, from 1 to 4 p.m. Bingo is by donation only.
• April 16: Burgerville, 818 Harrison Ave., Centralia, from 4 to 8 p.m.
• April 26: Dick’s Brewery Cornhole, 3516 Galvin Road, Centralia, from 3 to 6 p.m.
• April 27: The Juice Box Survivor Dinner, 216 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, from 6 to 10 p.m. Survivors must contact Relay for Life of Lewis County to register as a survivor.
• May 2-4: Southwest Washington Youth Fair Booth, 1909 S. Gold St., Chehalis.
