The Centralia women’s soccer team got back to .500 on Wednesday, scoring three times in the second half to beat Tacoma 4-1.

Rubi Serrato opened the scoring in the 13th minute off a pass from Abigail Hansen to make it 1-0, a score that held until halftime.

Early in the second half, Serrato completed the brace and doubled the Centralia (5-5, 4-4 NWAC) lead.

Cierra Larson made it 3-0 in the 60th minute, and later added her second goal of the game in the 90th minute. Larson also had the assist on Serrato’s second goal.

The Trailblazer defense made life difficult for the Tacoma attack throughout, allowing just three shots on goal.

Centralia has now won three of its last four games after starting the season 2-4. At 4-4 in NWAC play, the Trailblazers are fourth in the league’s west region, two wins behind Clark, Lower Columbia and Pierce.

They’ll look to get above .500 against Green River on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. in Auburn.
