Ignited by 18 hits and scoring at least four runs in three innings, the Warriors dominated their District 4 rival Wildcats 18-8 in six innings on Friday night at Fort Borst Park in Centralia.

Leadoff hitter Josie Nygard set the tone for the Warriors (1-1) with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate with a double, a solo home run in the bottom of the second and crossed home plate five teams. Trinity Daniel drove in four runs on three hits while four others notched two hits and five batters drove in multiple runs.

Rochester opened the game with a four-run first and enacted the mercy rule win with a five-run sixth, finished off by a bases loaded hit by pitch. In the circle, Sahara Miskimens worked around nine hits and four unearned runs to claim the win.

The Warriors will take on Toledo on Monday night at home.
