Rochester Man Airlifted After Being Struck by Car

A car struck a Rochester man as he was walking in the northbound lanes of State Road 101 Tuesday evening, according to a press release from Washington State Patrol. The pedestrian, Daniel H. Waters, 39, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

The press release states that at 10:08 p.m. Waters was about 13 miles north of Raymond in Grays Harbor County, walking in the travel lane. A northbound Audi A6, driven by Kazimierz Z. Poznansku, 72, of Seattle collided with Waters.

It’s currently unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision, according to the WSP press release, which did not include an update on Waters’ condition.
