The Rochester golf team trekked to Elma on Wednesday to face the Eagles at Oaksridge Golf Course, and the Warriors fell 168-187.
Boden Grimm led Rochester with a 46, while Cash Edminster, Clayton Knutson, Wesley Dahl, and Kohlton Wayland all carded a 47. Darin Ware was right behind that group with a 48.
Elma was led by Trey Yeager and Lucas Norris, who were the two co-match medalists by shooting 40s.
“We're going to use the next week to try to hone in on our short game, where we think we'll see the biggest difference on the scorecard,” Rochester coach Brian Keese said. “But I'm really proud of how our varsity competed and improved on their scores from the last match.”
Rochester will have its bye on Monday before hosting Montesano at Riverside next Wednesday, Sept. 17.
