The Rochester softball team made the trip to Walla Walla on Saturday, and the Warriors took care of business against Meridian 16-3 and Riverside 11-0 in a pair of five-inning victories.

The Warriors got the offense rolling early in both games, scoring 14 runs in the first three innings against Meridian before scoring 10 in the first three frames against Riverside.

Hailey Boyd finished 3 for 4 at the plate against the Trojans, hitting a home run and driving in six runs. Arissa LeBaron added two doubles and three RBIs, while McKenna Vassar went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBIs of her own.

Charlie Culp added two hits, including a double, and drove in two. She posted the same statline against the Rams, and Vassar added another two hits and two RBIs.

Layna Demers was excellent in the circle and at the plate against Riverside, as she struck out 10 and allowed just two hits in five shutout innings and added two hits and three runs batted in.

Rochester (8-2, 4-0 1A Evergreen) will return home for three games this coming week. The Warriors will host Onalaska on Tuesday, Elma on Wednesday, and Pe Ell-Willapa Valley on Friday.
