The Rochester girls basketball team didn’t let anything come easy for Hoquiam on Tuesday, in a 45-18 non-league win to begin its 2023-24 season.

“Our goal coming into the game was to set the pace and not let up,” Rochester coach Keeli Rivas said. “I think the girls did a great job of doing just that.”

Mandy Andree-Cordeel led the Warriors (1-0) with 14 points, five steals and six rebounds, while fellow seniors Delany Winter and Grace Hoover had 11 and nine points, respectively.

Rochester is set to face Tenino at home on Friday.
