Riverhawks win over Wolves

The Toledo boys basketball team bounced back to split its weekend trip north with a 52-38 win over Coupeville on Saturday.

Kaven Winters led the way for the Riverhawks (2-1) with a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double. Cooper Fallon added 11 points and 10 boards for a double-double of his own.

Rogan Stanley pitched in 10 points, while Adam Kruger dished out three assists.

Toledo trailed 17-9 after a quarter of play, but went on a 16-4 run in the second to go into halftime up 25-21. That lead was trimmed to two points at the end of the third quarter, but the Riverhawks finished the game with an 18-6 spell in the fourth to pull away.

Toledo will be back at home in Cheese Town on Tuesday, hosting 1A Castle Rock.
