The Toledo softball team cruised to a doubleheader sweep over Winlock on Thursday, sweeping the Cardinals 20-2 and 21-1 in five innings apiece.
Peyton Holter pitched all five innings in Game 1, allowing just two hits and two runs (one earned) while walking two and striking out 13. Taysia Miller, Kailea Lairson, Camryn Hurley, Xtyn Norberg, and Brenna Carver drove in at least two runs each, and 11 different Riverhawks collected at least one hit.
They were just as dominant in Game 2. Carver allowed just one hit and struck out seven in four shutout innings before Alyssa Hensley pitched the fifth.
Four different Riverhawks drove in at least three runs, including Hurley, who finished 3 for 4 with four RBIs. Zaya Norberg, Xtyn Norberg, and Holter drove in three each, while Carver added two RBIs of her own.
Both teams are back on Monday, Winlock (1-9) will host Adna and Toledo (7-3) will head to Mossyrock.
