Registration is now open for the ninth annual Cornhole Tournament & Sausage Fest hosted by Dick’s Brewing Company in Centralia.

The event takes place Saturday, Sept. 6, at 3516 Galvin Road in Centralia, according to a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.

Teams can register in advance for $50 per team at chamberway.com under the events tab, or in person at either Dick’s Brewing Company on Galvin Road or Dick’s NW Sausage & Deli at 5945 Prather Road SW in Centralia.

Day-of registration is $60 per team. All proceeds benefit the Rob Fuller Scholarship Fund, which awards up to 10 $1,000 scholarships each year to qualifying high school graduates, the release stated.

Open to all skill levels, this 21-plus event features a full day of cornhole, craft beer, sausages and a raffle. Dick's Sandwich Shop food trailer will be on site offering a special menu with a variety of sausages during the tournament.

The tournament starts at 1 p.m. The event has historically raised $3,000 to $5,000 annually for the scholarship fund.

Dick’s Brewing Company, which launched its first brew as a business in 1994 and celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, was founded by Dick Young and is now owned by his daughter, Julie Pendleton, and her husband, Dave. The release stated that they created the Cornhole & Sausage Fest as a way to give back to the community by donating all event proceeds to local non-profits.

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce originally established the Rob Fuller Scholarship Fund, later forming it as a nonprofit organization in 2022. The chamber also hosts the annual Rob Fuller 25 x 25 Luncheon, recognizing the top 25 students from Centralia and Chehalis high schools and awarding scholarships from 10 different organizations throughout Lewis County.
