On Sept. 8, Providence Cardiology Associates Centralia will welcome Muhammad Masaud Mohyuddin, M.D., expanding access to advanced cardiovascular care for patients throughout Lewis County.

Dr. Mohyuddin earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Georgetown University/MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at East Carolina University, according to a news release from Providence Centralia.

Throughout his training, he cared for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and was selected to serve as chief cardiology fellow, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence, leadership and education.

Mohyuddin specializes in comprehensive cardiovascular care, with expertise in advanced cardiovascular diagnostics, treating complex coronary artery disease — including heart attacks and debilitating angina — through minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures.

His philosophy is centered on combining clinical expertise with compassion, listening carefully to patients and working together to achieve the best possible outcomes, the release stated. Having trained in several regions of the country and cared for diverse patient populations, he believes the best care begins by understanding each patient’s unique story and tailoring treatment to their individual needs.

“I’m honored to join Providence and become part of the Lewis County community,” Mohyuddin said in the release. “My goal is to provide every patient with the same care I would want for my own family – care that combines compassion, clear communication and the latest, evidence-based treatments. I look forward to building lasting relationships with my patients and helping them live longer, healthier lives.”

Mohyuddin is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board certified in adult comprehensive echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography.

Outside of medicine, Mohyuddin enjoys traveling, photography and spending time with his family, as well as playing and watching cricket, basketball and soccer.

Mohyuddin will join four other cardiologists who comprise Providence Cardiology Associates Centralia (1800 Cooks Hill Road, Suite E). They include:

•  Qiang Li, M.D. (cardiology)

• Yuxuan Hu, M.D. (cardiology)
