Seattle police arrested a 39-year-old man Wednesday for investigation of ramming a police vehicle with a stolen car, injuring two officers.
Patrol officers found the man unconscious inside a Porsche Carrera around 12:30 p.m. in an underground parking garage at 400 South Jackson St., according to police. Officers later determined the car was reported stolen in late November.
The man woke as officers approached, and he then rammed their police vehicle, police said. Police used a Taser to stop the suspect. Police recovered a gun from a backpack next to the suspect, within arm's reach, Detective Eric Muñoz said.
Seattle Fire Department medics treated two officers for minor injuries.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center, then booked into the King County Jail. He was being held pending investigation of charges including three counts of first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and drug possession, as well as warrants for burglary and driving with a suspended license.
