For the second time in three league matches, Adna High School’s volleyball team secured a three-set victory, this time over Toledo 25-12, 25-14, 25-12 on Tuesday night in Toledo.
At 11-0 overall and 3-0 in the C2BL, the Pirates have won seven times in sweeps and head into Thursday’s home contest versus Morton-White Pass a full game up in the standings over four other teams.
Karsyn Freeman ended the night with 14 digs, nine kills and six aces. Kendall Humphrey paced the front row with 11 kills while Danika Hallom stuffed the stat sheet with eight assists, eight digs and five kills. Gaby Guard finished with a double-double 18 assists and 14 digs.
Toledo (4-7, 1-3) have played the top-three teams in the standings and have not picked up a game yet. Ellie Fallon finished with 14 digs and five kills while Abby Umbriaco added five kills. Lexi Young served up three aces.
“We really struggled with some of their serves making it difficult to get our offense in system,” Riverhawks head coach Kelli Larson said.
Toledo will hit the road to face longtime rival Toutle Lake on Thursday.
