The Adna boys basketball team started off a bit slowly and needed all four quarters to truly shake Onalaska on the road Friday, in a 73-48 win.

The Pirates led by eight after three quarters of play, before ending the game on a 25-8 run.

Freshman Trevin Salme finished 5 for 9 from beyond the arc to lead Adna with 17 points. His brother, senior Braeden Salme, increased his workload from his first game back to the tune of 16 points, playing in all four quarters this time around.

Lane Johnson added 11 points, and Grayson Humphrey had nine.

Blaze Underhill led Onalaska with 15 points, while Ethan Thayer had eight.

Adna is set to face Toledo on Saturday, then open up the next week of play with games against Kalama on Monday and Wahkiakum on Wednesday. Onalaska will take on Toutle Lake on Saturday, then be off until Wednesday when it plays at Rainier.
