Playing in great conditions at Longview Country Club, the Adna boys golf team defeated Wahkiakum, Kalama, and Ilwaco in a four-team match Wednesday afternoon with a score of 168.
It’s the Pirates’ best score for a boys golf team in program history.
“All four boys played really good golf today,” Pirates coach Luke Salme said.
Adna was led by match medalist Braeden Salme, who carded a 39, two strokes ahead of teammate Andrew Grim’s 41. Josh McGuire shot a 45, and Lenz Bigbee carded a 43.
Wahkiakum was led by Brodie Avalon’s 43, Kalama was headlined by Cooper Hahn’s 43, and Ilwaco’s top scorer was Ethan Adams (54).
The Pirates have one last regular season match next week before districts begin the following week.
