The Adna softball team led commandingly through four innings at Yelm before dropping a massive frame in the fifth to shorten the game in a 23-6 non-league win Tuesday.

The Pirates scored in every inning, leading 11-5 before scoring 12 more in the fifth inning alone.

Adna finished with 19 hits as a team, every starter joining the fun and Brooklyn Loose, Karlee VonMoos, Kendall Humphrey, and Alyssa Carroll all racking up three-hit days. Loose and Humphrey both had two doubles, while VonMoos had a double and a home run, logging four RBIs. Yelm committed nine errors in the field to help the Pirates’ cause.

VonMoos struck out six in five innings of work, allowing six runs on six hits.

It’s the sixth straight game that Adna has eclipsed 15 runs scored.

The Pirates are set to face Toledo in a Central 2B League clash Wednesday.
