Pirates defense clamps down on T-Wolves

The Adna girls basketball team held Morton-White Pass to just about nothing in a 56-16 win over the T-Wolves in Central 2B League action on Friday.

“The girls came out and played hard and were getting some good shots early that just weren’t falling,” MWP coach Tim Roberts said. “Adna played a great game with high intensity. This eventually had our girls rushing and forcing some shots as they were frustrated with the ball not falling. We started forcing the ball through traffic and their defense did a good job creating turnovers that lead to quick opportunities for them.”

Karsyn Freeman led the Pirates (5-1, 2-1 C2BL) with 24 points, while Bailey Chapman added 10.

Ana Gonzalez had seven points for the T-Wolves (1-3, 1-2 C2BL), who went into halftime with just six as a team.
