Pirates Defeat Vikings in Four

Posted

After dropping a tough first set at Willapa Valley, the Adna volleyball team came back to defeat the Vikings in four sets, 21-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.

The Pirates were still riding an emotional high after a sweep of rival Napavine a night ago, and suffered a letdown in the first set against the Vikings. It lasted just one set as they bounced back to win.

Brooklyn Loose had 19 assists and seven kills, Gaby Guard added 18 assists with six kills, and Natalie Humphrey had 10 digs in the back row. Parker Feist added 11 digs and four aces, Charissa Schierman had four kills and four stuff blocks, Danika Hallom added 14 digs with 12 kills, and Kendall Humphrey led the Pirates with 13 kills.

The Pirates play their third match in three days tomorrow against Toledo on the road.
