YAKIMA — The Adna volleyball team rebounded from its quarterfinal loss last night with a 18-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-15 over Liberty early Thursday morning.

The win secures a second straight top-six finish for the Pirates, as they’ll play for fifth place against Okanogan at noon.

“Having not lost a game, and to lose a game at state … you wonder how they’re gonna do,” Adna coach Wendie Dotson said. “We had a team talk, and we wanted to go out strong. They came back and they did it.

It was a slow start for the Pirates on Thursday morning, as they trailed almost the entire first set.
